 Միացյալ թագավորությունը հույս ունի մասնակցել Եվրամիությունում որոշումների ընդունմանը ընդհուպ մինչեւ ԵՄ-ի կազմից դուրս գալու պահը: Այդ մասին, ինչպես տեղեկացնում Է«Արմենպրես»-ը՝ հղում անելով BBC-ին, ԵՄ-ի Բրյուսելում կայացած գագաթնաժողովում հայտարարել Է Մեծ Բրիտանիայի վարչապետ Թերեզա Մեյը:

Նա նշել Է, որ Բրիտանիան պետք Է մասնակցի այն բոլոր հանդիպումներին ու բանակցություններին, որոնց ընթացքում  ընդունվում են ԵՄ-ի անդամ բոլոր 28 երկրներին վերաբերող որոշումներ:

Թերեզա Մեյի համար, որը վարչապետի աթոռն զբաղեցրել Է ԵՄ-ից Բրիտանիայի դուրս գալու հարցի շուրջ անցկացված հանրաքվեից հետո, դա Եվրամիության առաջին գագաթնաժողովն Է երկրի կառավարության ղեկավարի կարգավիճակում:

Գագաթնաժողովից առաջ Մեյը խոստացել Է, որ Բրիտանիայի իշխանությունները Brexit-ից հետո Էլ ԵՄ-ի հետ սերտորեն համագործակցելու են տարբեր հարցերի շուրջ:

Մեյը նաեւ ընդգծել Է, որ Եվրոպան պետք Է համաձայնեցված դիրք բռնի «ռուսական ագրեսիայի» դեմ, ներառյալ (ռուս զինվորականների) «զազրելի գազանությունները» Սիրիայում:

Վարչապետի խոսքով՝ Բրիտանիան Լիսաբոնի պայմանագրի 50-րդ հոդվածը, որը պաշտոնապես գործարկում Է Եվրամիությունից երկրի դուրս գալու գործընթացը, կակտիվացնի մինչեւ 2017 թվականի մարտի վերջը, ինչը նշանակում Է, որ ԵՄ-ից Մեծ Բրիտանիայի դուրս գալը կավարտվի մինչեւ 2019 թվականի ամառը:
