Երեկ՝ հոկտեմբերի 22-ին, խոշոր ու շղթայական ավտովթար է տեղի ունեցել Երևանում:
Ժամը 23:00-ի սահմաններում Իսակովի պողոտայից դեպքի Մոնթե Մելքոյան հատման հատվածում բախվել են Կարեն Հարությունյանի վարած Toyota մակնիշի 50 ZD 050 համարանիշի, Արմեն Գասպարյանի վարած Mercedes մակնիշի 55 MM 805 համարանիշի, Գևորգ Ոսկանյանի վարած ГАЗ 3110 մակնիշի 35 AA 500 համարանիշի, Արամ Պետրոսյանի վարած BMW մակնիշի 23 ՍՍ 050 համարանիշի, Գևորգ Գրիգորյանի վարած Opel մակնիշի 34 NM 593 համրանիշի և Արարատ Միրզոյանի վարած Mercedes մակնիշի 34 TT 099 համարանիշի ավտոմեքենաները: Ինչպես դեպքի վայրից հայտնում է ֆոտոլրագրող Գագիկ Շամշյանը, ըստ նախնական տեղեկությունների՝ վթարի հետևանքով զոհեր և վիրավորներ չկան:
Չնայած նրան, որ վարորդներից մեկը ստացել էր մարմնական վնասվածք, սակայն հրաժարվեց բժշկական օգնությունից: Դեպքի վայր են ժամանել ճանապարհային ոստիկանության 1-ին սպայական գումարտակի ծառայողները: Վթարի մասին ՃՈ օպերատիվ կառավարման կենտրոնի պատասխանատու հերթապահ Արշակ Գրիգորյանը տեղեկությունը փոխացնել է ՃՈ հետաքննչական բաժին, որտեղից ժամանել է ավագ հետաքննիչ Գրիգոր Կիրակոսյանը, ում կողմից փաստի առթիվ նյութեր են նախապատրաստվում:
Դեպքի վայր են ժամանել նաև ապահովագրական ընկերությունների ներկայացուցիչները:
Վթարի պատճառով նշված հաստվածում երթևեկությունը վերածվել էր «աջափսանդալի», սակայն ՃՈ աշխտակիցների ժամանումից հետո հնարավոր եղավ երթեևկությունը կարգավորել:
