Այսօր Թեհրանում ԻԻՀ արտգործնախարարության մամլո խոսնակ Բահրամ Ղասեմիի մամուլի ասուլիսի ժամանակ իրանական լրատվամիջոցներից մեկի լրագրողը հարց է հնչեցրել այն մասին, թե ինչքանով է հավանական ԻԻՀ նախագահ Հասան Ռուհանիի այցը Հայաստան, և ինչ տեղ ունի Հայաստանն Իրանի արտաքին քաղաքականության մեջ, ինչին ի պատասխան՝ Ղասեմին ասել է. «Թեհրանի հարաբերությունները հյուսիսային երկրների, այդ թվում՝ Հայաստանի և Ադրբեջանի հետ լավ են, և կա ձգտում համագործակցային հարաբերություններն ավելի ընդլայնելու: Հայաստանը մեզ համար առանձնահատուկ տեղ ունի: Մեր միակ ոչ մուսուլմանական հարևանն է, որը պահանջում է հատուկ հարաբերություններ: Երկու երկրների միջև առկա են մշտական և կայուն հարաբերություններ ու շփումներ: Հուսով եմ՝ պարոն Ռուհանիի այցը Հայաստան տեղի կունենա հնարավորինս շուտ՝ մեծ քայլեր ձեռնարկելու համար, քանի որ մենք ունենք լավ ընդհանրություններ»:
