ԱՄՆ-ն առաջին անգամ ՄԱԿ-ում չի պաշտպանել Կուբայի տնտեսական շրջափակումը

ԱՄՆ-ն առաջին անգամ ձեռնպահ Է մնացել ՄԱԿ-ի ամենամյա բանաձեւին դեմ քվեարկելուց, որով կոչ Է արվում դադարեցնել Կուբայի տնտեսական շրջափակումը, տեղեկացնում Է «Արմենպրես»-ը՝ հղում անելով BBC-ին:
ՄԱԿ-ում ԱՄՆ-ի դեսպան Սամանթա Փաուերը հայտարարել Է, որ այդ պատմական որոշումն արտացոլում Է մեկուսացմանը փոխարինելու եկած փոխգործակցության նոր քաղաքականությունը:
«Ավելի քան 55 տարի մեկուսացման ուղեգծով ընթանալուց հետո մենք ընտրում ենք փոխգործակցության ուղին»,-ասել Է Փաուերը:
Բանաձեւն ընդունվել Է ձայների ճնշող մեծամասնությամբ: Քվեարկության ժամանակ, ԱՄՆ-ից բացի, ձեռնպահ Է մնացել միայն Իսրայելը:
ՄԱԿ-ի Գլխավոր ասամբլեան բանաձեւն ամեն տարի հաստատում Է 1992 թվականից, եւ ԱՄՆ-ը միշտ Էլ վճռականորեն դեմ Էր արտահայտվում դրան: Այսօրինակ բանաձեւերը պարտադիր չեն կատարման համար, սակայն, ինչպես նշում են դիտորդները, ԱՄՆ-ի ներկայիս որոշումը կարեւոր Է որպես խորհրդանշան: Այդպիսով ԱՄՆ-ի նախագահ Բարաք Օբամայի վարչակազմը հասկանալ Է տվել, որ Կուբայի շրջափակումը դիտում Է որպես հնացած եւ հակարդունավետ քաղաքականություն:
