«Վիկինգները» վերադառնում են

Մեկ ամսից էլ քիչ ժամանակ է մնացել «Վիկինգներ» հեռուստասերիալի նոր եթերաշրջանի մեկնարկին: «Վիկինգները» վերադառնում են նոյեմբերի 30-ին, որպեսզի շարունակեն իրենց հետաքրքիր պատմությունը: Հիշեցնենք, որ սերիալի գործողությունները ծավալվում են միջնադարյան Եվրոպայում՝ դաժան ու վտանգավոր մի աշխարհում, ուր միախառնվում են  տարբեր մշակույթներն ու պաշտամունքները, ավանդույթներն ու կրոնները:

4-րդ եթերաշրջանի 10-րդ սերիան շատ ինտրիգներ ու դրվագներ թողել է անավարտ: Փարիզի մոտակայքում պարտություն կրելուց հետո, վիկինգները վերադառնում են իրենց հողեր: Նրանց առաջնորդ Ռագնարը ճակատամարտից հետո անսպասելի անհետանում է և խորհրդավոր բացակայությունից հետո վերադառնում է իր ժողովրդի մոտ: Այժմ Ռագնարին անհրաժեշտ է վերահաստատել իր հեղինակությունը, քանի որ նրա գաղտնի անհետացումը, ինչպես նաև կնոջ՝ Ասլաուգ թագուհու գործողությունները, թուլացրել են իր նախկին լեգենդար առաջնորդի դիրքերը:

Ռագնարն, իսկապես, ինչ-որ բան թաքցնում է: Նա իր ժողովրդին չի պատմել, թե ինչ է իրականում կատարվել Ուեսեքսի բնակչության հետ: Բոլորն արդեն տեղյակ են, որ նա մեծ ռիսկի է դիմել, բայց ոչ իրենց առաջնորդից:

Դեպի Փարիզ նոր արշավանքի հարմար պահն է: Նախորդ հարձակման ժամանակ Ռագնարին կանգնեցրել է իր հարազատ եղբայրը՝ Ռոլոն, Նորմանդիայի հերցոգը, ով անցավ Ֆրանկիայի կողմը և պաշտպանեց թագավոր Չարլզին: Չնայած Ռագնարն իր որդիների հետ լարված հարաբերությունների մեջ է, նա ամեն ինչ անում է, որպեսզի կրկին վերադառնա Փարիզ:

Չպետք է մոռանալ նաև Ուեսեքսի մասին: Ժողովուրդը վրեժ է պահանջում բնակավայրում տեղի ունեցածի համար, և Ռագնարը ստիպված է ուղևորվել հաշվենկատ և ամբիցիոզ թագավոր Էգբերի մոտ: Վերջինս մի գաղտնիք է պահել Ռագնարի համար: Պարզվում է Ռագնարը որդի ունի Ուեսեքսում՝ Մագնուսը, ով Էգբերի հովանավորության տակ է գտնվում: Եվ Էգբերն անպայման կօգտագործի Մագնուսին, երբ հարց բարձրացվի բնակավայրի ոչնչացման մասին:
