Աշխարհում 300 մլն երեխաներ խիստ աղոտված օդ են շնչում. ՅՈՒՆԻՍԵՖ

Մոտավորապես 300 մլն երեխաներ, այսինքն աշխարհի գրեթե յուրաքանչյուր յոթերորդ երեխան, ապրում Է օդի աղոտման խիստ բարձր մակարդակ ունեցող տարածաշրջաններում: Այդ մասին, ինչպես տեղեկացնում Է «Արմենպրես»-ը, հոկտեմբերի 31-ին հաղորդվում Է ՄԱԿ-ի Մանկական հիմնադրամի (ՅՈՒՆԻՍԵՖ) պաշտոնական կայքում:
«Այսօր ամբողջ աշխարհում 300 մլն երեխաներ ապրում են օդի թունավոր աղոտման չափազանց բարձր մակարդակ ունեցող գոտիներում,- կազմակերպության կայքում մեջբերված են ՅՈՒՆԻՍԵՖ-ի գործադիր տնօրեն Էնթոնի Լեյքի խոսքերը: - Մոտավորապես 2 մլրդ երեխաներ ապրում են այնպիսի մարզերում, որտեղ օդի աղտոտման մակարդակը չի համապատասխանում օդի որակի նվազագույն չափորոշիչներին, որոնք սահմանված են Առողջապահության համաշխարհային կազմակերպության կողմից»: Ընդ որում՝ նա նշել Է, որ այդ տվյալները հաշվի չեն առնում միլիոնավոր երեխաների, որոնք աղտոտված օդ են շնչում իրեց տներում:
«Օդի աղտոտումը զգալի ուղեկցող գործոն Է, որն ամեն տարի մահվան Է հասցնում 5-ից ցածր տարիքի 600 հազար երեխաների. այն նաեւ ամեն տարի սպառնում Է միլիոնավոր երեխաների կյանքին ու ապագային»,-ընդգծել Է ՅՈՒՆԻՍԵՖ-ի ղեկավարը:
Նրա «Մաքրենք օդը երեխաների համար» հետազոտությունը օգտագործում Է արբանյակներից արված լուսանկարները, որպեսզի առաջին անգամ ցույց տա այդ հիմնախնդրի մասշտաբները եւ ցուցադրի այն գոտիները, որտեղ այն առավել սրությամբ Է դրված: Կազմակերպության տվյալներով՝ օդի աղտոտումից առավել մեծ թվով երեխաներ են տառապում Հարավային Ասիայի եւ Աֆրիկայի երկրներում, հաղորդել Է ՏԱՍՍ-ը:
