Ծխելը ՄԻԱՎ -ախտահարվածներին ավելի արագ է սպանում, քան վիրուսն ինքը

Ծխելը մարդու իմունային անբավարարության վիրուսով (ՄԻԱՎ) ախտահարված մարդկանց կյանքը շատ ավելի Է կրճատում, քան դա անում Է իմունային անբավարարության վիրուսն ինքը: Դա, ինչպես տեղեկացնում Է «Արմենպրես»-ը, պարզել են գիտնականները, որոնք ԱՄՆ-ում դիտարկել են մի քանի հարյուր հիվանդների կյանքը եւ իրենց եզրակացություն ները հրապարակել Journal of Infectious Diseases-ում:
«ՄԻԱՎ-ով վարակված մարդը, որը մշտապես հակառետրովիրուսային պատրաստուկներ Է ընդունում եւ ըստ որում ծխող Է, ամենայն հավանականությամբ, կմահանա հենց ծխելուց եւ դրա հետ կապված հիվանդություններից, այլ ոչ թե բուն ՄԻԱՎ-ից: Այս ամենի մեջ լավ նորությունն այն Է, որ ծխելուց հրաժարումն զգալիորեն կերկարացնի նման հիվանդների կյանքը, եւ ծխախոտը թողնելը տվյալ դեպքում երբեք ուշ չի լինում»,- պատմել Է Քրիշնա Ռեդին Հարվարդի համալսարանից (ԱՄՆ):
Ռեդին եւ նրա գործընկերները նման եզրակացության են հանգել մեծ թվով ՄԻԱՎ-ախտահարվածների առողջության դիտարկման ընթացքում եւ վարակի զարգացման համակարգչային մոդելի օգնությամբ, որը հաշվի Է առնում օրգանիզմում վիրուսի բազմացման բոլոր հետեւանքները, հաղորդել Է ՌԻԱ Նովոստի գործակալությունը:
