Երեկ՝ նոյեմբերի 7-ին, արտակարգ դեպք է տեղի ունեցել Արարատի մարզում։ Ժամը 08։20-ի սահմաններում Արտաշատի բժշկական կենտրոնից ոստիկանության Արտաշատի բաժին տեղեկացրել են, որ «սուր էկզոգեն թունավորում՝ շմոլ գազով» ախտորոշմամբ իրենց մոտ են տեղափոխվել քաղաքացիներ։ Ինչպես հայտնում է ֆոտոլրագրող Գագիկ Շամշյանը, հիվանդանոց են մեկնել ոստիկանության Արտաշատի բաժնի օպերատիվ խումբը, ինչպես նաև Հայաստանի քննչական կոմիտեի Արարատի մարզային քննչական վարչության Արտաշատի քննչական բաժնի քննիչները՝ քննիչ Ասատրյանի գլխավորությամբ։ Ոստիկաններն ու քննիչները պարզել են, որ հիվանդանոց են տեղափոխվել Շահումյան գյուղի Չարենց փողոցի թիվ 5 տան բնակիչներ, 74-ամյա Թամարա Դավթյանը, 45-ամյա Լիանա Մինասյանը և 84-ամյա Ստեփան Դավթյանը։ Գ. Շամշյանի տեղեկություններով՝ նրանք թունավորվել են Ս. Դավթյանի տան հյուրասենյակում տեղադրված փայտե վառարանի ծխատարից, որը պատահաբար հրդեհվել է, ինչպես նաև վերջինիս տան հյուրասենյակի առաստաղի գերանները, ինչն էլ պատճառ է դարձել հրդեհից արձակված շմոլ գազի։ Փաստի առթիվ Հայաստանի քննչական կոմիտեի Արարատի մարզային քննչական վարչության Արտաշատի քննչական բաժնում նյութեր են նախապատրաստվում։
