«Ժողովուրդ» թերթը գրում է. «Նախորդ տարվա նոյեմբերի 25-ին Երեւանի Նորք-Մարաշ վարչական շրջանի 9-րդ փողոցի առանձնատներից մեկից ազգային անվտանգության ծառայության եւ ոստիկանության հատուկ ջոկատայինների կողմից վնասազերծվեց «հանցավոր խմբավորում», ինչի առիթով հարուցված քրեական գործի նախաքննությունը միայն վերջերս է ավարտվել:

Բայց անգամ գործի հաստափոր նյութերի ուսումնասիրությամբ հնարավոր չէ պարզել՝ ով է, ի վերջո, հանցախմբի պարագլուխ համարվող Արթուր Վարդանյանը, ում հրահանգով էր գործում, ինչ առարկայական նպատակ ուներ:

ՀՀ ազգային անվտանգության ծառայության վարույթում գտնվող գործի վերաբերյալ «Ժողովուրդ»-ին ուշագրավ մանրամասներ հայտնի դարձան: «Հանցախմբի» պարագլուխ համարվող Արթուր Վարդանյանը բոլոր նրանց, ում հետ զրուցել է Սերժ Սարգսյանի իշխանությունը տապալելու թեմայի շուրջ, ձայնագրել է: Նա ձերբակալման պահից ի վեր ցուցմունքներ է տվել այն մասին, որ հանցախումբ է կազմել, փորձել պայթեցնել Սերժ Սարգսյանի ինքնաթիռը, հարձակում գործել պետական կառույցների վրա: Սակայն արդեն վերջին փուլում Ա. Վարդանյանը հայտարարել է, որ հրաժարվում է նախկինում իր տված բոլոր ցուցմունքներից, անդամներից որեւէ մեկը նախապես չի իմացել իր ծրագրերի մասին:

«Ժողովուրդ» օրաթերթին հայտնի դարձավ նաեւ, որ այս գործով անցնողների թիվը նախապես հրապարակված 18 անձանցից հասել է մոտ 300-ի, որոնց միայն մի մասն է գտնվում կալանքի տակ»:
