Հայաստանի Հանրապետության Նախագահ Սերժ Սարգսյանը պաշտոնական այցով գտնվում է Արաբական Միացյալ Էմիրություններում: ՀՀ Նախագահի՝ Միացյալ Էմիրություններ կատարած պաշտոնական այցի կապակցությամբ «Արմենպրես»-ը ներկայացնում է այդ երկրի և Հայաստանի միջև դիվանագիտական և առևտրատ նտեսական հարաբերությունների մակարդակը:
Հայաստանի Հանրապետության եւ Արաբական Միացյալ Էմիրությունների միջեւ դիվանագիտական հարաբերությունները հաստատվել են 1998թ. հունիսի 25-ին` Նյու Յորքում համապատասխան արձանագրության ստորագրմամբ։
2012թ. մարտին ԱՄԷ-ում ՀՀ արտակարգ եւ լիազոր դեսպան է նշանակվել Գեղամ Ղարիբջանյանը:
2015թ.-ից Հայաստանում գործում է Արաբական Միացյալ Էմիրությունների դեսպանությունը։ Փետրվարի 18-ին ՀՀ Նախագահ Սերժ Սարգսյանին իր հավատարմագրերն է հանձնել ՀՀ-ում ԱՄԷ նորանշանակ արտակարգ և լիազոր դեսպան Ջասեմ Մուհամմադ Ալ Կասեմին:
Հայաստանը եւ ԱՄԷ-ն արդյունավետ համագործակցություն են զարգացնում քաղաքական, տնտեսական, գիտական եւ կրթական բնագավառներում:
Դիվանագիտական հարաբերությունների հաստատումից ի վեր երկու երկրների միջև ստորագրվել է տարբեր ոլորտներում համագործակցության 15 համաձայնագիր, փոխըմբռնման 3 հուշագիր, 2 արձանագրություն:
Հայաստանն ԱՄԷ-ից հիմնականում ներմուծում է ներկանյութեր, շինանյութ, շաքար, հրուշակեղեն, պլաստմասե իրեր, թուղթ, ստվարաթուղթ, կահույք, էլեկտրատեխնիկա, տրանսպորտային միջոցներ, իսկ արտահանում է հիմնականում պղնձե իրեր, ալյումինե իրեր, բնական և արհեստական մարգարիտ:
Նախատեսվում է, որ ՀՀ Նախագահի այցի ընթացքում Հայաստանն ու Արաբական Միացյալ Էմիրությունները կընդլայնեն ներդրումային և բիզնես հնարավորությունները: Այդ կապակցությամբ նախատեսվում է ստորագրել փոխըմբռնման հուշագիր: Այն ստորագրվելու է Հայաստանի և Արաբական Միացյալ Էմիրությունների առևտրաարդյունաբերական պալատների միջև: Երկու երկրները կստորագրեն նաև փոխըմբռնման հուշագիր, ըստ որի, համապատասխան գերատեսչությունները կխորացնեն համագործակցությունը արտակարգ իրավիճակների, ճգնաժամերի և աղետների կառավարման ոլորտում: Այցի շրջանանում համապատասխան փաստաթղթերի ստորագրմամբ կնախանշվեն ուղղություններ գիտության, տեխնիկական ոլորտներում համագործակցության համար:
