Այսօր՝ նոյեմբերի 10-ին, լարված ու պայթյունավտանգ իրավիճակ է ստեղծվել Արարատի մարզում։ Այգեստան գյուղի բնակիչները գյուղի մշակույթի տան բակում հավաքված սպառնում են երթով հասնել մինչև Արտաշատ-Երևան ավտոճանապարհը և փակել այն, քանի որ, ըստ նրանց հայտարարությունների, Այգեստանի գյուղապետ Սոկրատ Հովսեփյանը պատուհաս է դարձել իրենց համար։
Ֆոտոլրագրող Գագիկ Շամշյանի հետ զրույցում գյուղացիներն ասում էին. «Ողջ գյուղը իրար դեմ է հանել. ով ընտրություններին իր օգտին չի քվեարկել, հաշվեհարդար է տեսնում. գործերը կամ դատարան է ուղարկում, կամ հարկադիր։ Կան ազատամարտիկներ, ովքեր ինչ-որ տեղեկանք են ուզում, սակայն նա «ռսի զավտռա» է անում։ Մշակույթի տան հետնամասը վերածել է մինի աղբանոցի, տիրում է գարշահոտություն։ Ո՞վ է տեսել՝ մշակույթի տունը վերածեն դուքյանի։ Առաջին հարկը կիսել և սարքել է խանութ։ Էլ չենք ասում փողոցների արտաքին լուսավորության բացակայության, աղբահանության վատ վիճակի մասին։ Ում դիմենք՝ չգիտենք։ Մեր հույսը վարչապետ Կարեն Կարապետյանն է, ով կարող է մեր վերքին դարման լինել։ Սոցիալապես անապահով ընտանիքներ կան, ովքեր գյուղապետին ձայն չեն տվել, օգնություններից կտրում է, փոխարենը դրամական օգնություններ է տրամադրում մահացածներին ու իր հարազատներին»։
