Իննամյա Թեսին մի անգամ լսեց իր ծնողների խոսակցությունը:

Ծնողներն ասում էին, որ իր կրտսեր եղբայրը հիվանդ է, իսկ իրենք բուժման գումար չունեն, ուստի փոքրիկը միայն հրաշքով կարող է փրկվել:

Թեսին վազեց իր սենյակ, հաշվեց իր բոլոր խնայողությունները և դրանք իր հետ վերցնելով՝ շտապեց դեղատուն:

Դեղատան աշխատակիցը զբաղված էր մյուս հաճախորդներով և անգամ չէր էլ նկատել փոքրիկ աղջկան:

Մի քանի րոպե շփոթված կանգնելուց հետո Թեսին համարձակություն հավաքեց և սկսեց խոսել դեղատան աշխատակցի հետ.

- Բարև Ձեզ: Ձեզ մոտ հրաշք կա՞:

- Ի՞նչ, հրա՞շք: Մենք այստեղ հրաշք չենք վաճառում:

- Իմ եղբայրը հիվանդ է, իսկ մայրիկս ասաց, որ նրան միայն հրաշքը կփրկի: Ծնողներս փող չունեն, սակայն ես կարող եմ Ձեզ վճարել հրաշքի դիմաց:

Այս խոսակցությունը լսեց դեղատան աշխատակցի եղբայրը և անմիջապես միջամտեց՝ իր մոտ կանչելով Թեսիին:

- Փոքրի՛կ, քո եղբորը ի՞նչ տեսակի հրաշք է պետք:

- Չգիտեմ: Ես միայն գիտեմ, որ նա ծանր հիվանդ է, և մայրիկս ասում է, որ նրան վիրահատություն է հարկավոր: Սակայն հայրիկս չի կարող վճարել վիրահատության դիմաց: Դրա համար էլ ես որոշել եմ իմ փողն օգտագործել:

- Իսկ դու որքա՞ն գումար ունես:

- Մեկ դոլար, տասնմեկ ցենտ, բայց եթե դա չբավականացնի, ես կարող եմ էլի գումար ճարել:

Դեղատան աշխատակիցը խնդրեց Թեսիին իրեն տանել հիվանդ եղբոր մոտ՝ ասելով, որ ցանկանում է տեսնել նրա ծնողներին և զննել եղբորը: Պարզվեց, որ այդ մարդը հայտնի բժիշկ Կարլտոն Արմսթրոնգն էր: Նա անվճար վիրահատեց Թեսիի եղբորը, ում մոտ ուռուցք էր հայտնաբերվել: Կարճ ժամանակ անց նա միանգամայն առողջ վիճակում տուն վերադարձավ: Թեսիի մայրիկի ու հայրիկի երջանկությանը չափ չկար:

Մայրիկը շշնջաց.

- Այս բժիշկն իսկական հրաշք է: Հետաքրքիր է՝ որքա՞ն դա կարժենար:

Թեսին ժպտաց: Նա բոլորից լավ գիտեր, թե որքան արժեր հրաշքը՝ ընդամենը մեկ դոլար, տասնմեկ ցենտ՝ գումարած փոքրիկ աղջկա անկեղծ հավատը, որ ամեն ինչ լավ է լինելու:
