Կալիֆորնիայում հայ ուսանողները տապալել են Աթաթուրքի մասին դասախոսությունը

Նորթրիջի Կալիֆորնիայի պետական համալսարանի հայ ուսանողները տապալել են նախապես ծրագրված դասախոսությունը Թուրքիայի Հանրապետության հիմնադիր և առաջին նախագահ Մուստաֆա Քեմալ Աթաթուրքի մասին: Ինչպես հաղորդում է «Արմենպրես»-ը, այս մասին տեղեկացնում համալսաանի պաշտոնական կայքը:
Դասախոսությունը Հարավային Կալիֆորնիայում նոյեմբերի 9-13-ը «Աթաթուրքի շաբաթվան» նվիրված միջոցառումների մի մասն էր: Գիտնական Ջորջ Գաուրիչը դասախոսության մեկնարկից հետո չի հասցրել արտաբերել ավելի քան հինգ նախադասություն Մուստաֆա Քեմալի մասին իր «Երիտասարդ Աթաթուրքը. Օսմանյան զինվորից մինչև Թուրքիայի ղեկավար» գրքի վերաբերյալ, երբ ուսանողները ոտքի են կանգնել և մեջքով շրջվել են դեպի դասախոսը: Ուսանողները բարձրաձայնել են. «Թուրքիան մեղավոր է ցեղասպանության համար», «ցեղասպանության հերքող»:
Գաուրիչը հետ ու առաջ է գնացել ուսանողների արանքում` փորձելով ուսանողների հայացքներն իր վրա ուղղել: Արդյունքում ոստիկանության աշխատողները բղավող ուսանողների ձայների ներքո դուրս են բերել դասախոսին լսարանից: «Մեր ուղերձը հետևյալն էր` դադարեցրեք ցեղասպանության ժխտումը, որը միլիոնավոր կյանքեր է արժեցել: Այս մարդը եկել է այստեղ և պնդում է, թե ցեղասպանություն տեղի չի ունեցել, ինչը կատարյալ աբսուրդ է»,- նշել է բողոքարարներից մեկը` Էրիկ Բադիվյանը:
