 Ամերիկայի հայկական համագումարի տարածաշրջանային գրասենյակիտնօրեն Արփի Վարդանյանի խոսքով՝ կազմակերպության մեջ ընդգրկված հայերից եղել են եւ՛ Քլինթոնի, եւ՛ Թրամփի աջակիցներ:

«Մեր գրանցման ստատուսն այնպիսին է, որ մենք   իրավունք չունեինք ձայն տալ կամ կողմ լինել ինչ-որ մեկին ընտրություններում: Մենք երբեք չենք ասել՝ քվեարկեք դեմոկրատների կամ հանրապետականների օգտին: Բոլորս գիտենք, որ Թրամփը նոր է այս դաշտում, քաղաքական փորձ չունի: Մենք չգիտենք, թե նա ինչպես կմոտենա քաղաքականությանը, որում, հնարավոր է, շատ անակնկալներ լինեն: Թրամփը կհավաքի իր շրջապատը, եւ պարզ կդառնա՝ ինչպիսի մոտեցումներ կցուցաբերվեն: Չգիտենք, թե ինչ փոփոխություններ  է մտցնելու,  քանի որ շատ բաների դեմ էր: Մենք  45 տարի աշխատել ենք եւ՛ դեմոկրատների, եւ՛ հանրապետականների հետ, նույն կերպ էլ  պետք է աշխատենք նոր նախագահի, վարչակազմի, պաշտոնյաների հետ, որպեսզի հասկացնենք, թե որոնք են խնդիրները»,-«Արմենպրես»-ի հաղորդմամբ՝  լրագրողների հետ զրույցում ասաց նա:

Արփի Վարդանյանի դիտարկմամբ՝ բավականին շատ խնդիրներ կան, որոնց վրա պետք է շեշտը դնել:

«Նախեւառաջ, պետք է աշխատենք հայ-ամերիկյան հարաբերությունների բարելավման ուղղությամբ: Արցախի խնդիրը, որը շատ լուրջ է. տեսանք՝ Ադրբեջանը ինչպես հարձակվեց Արցախի վրա եւ շարունակում է այդպիսի բաներ անել: Մտահոգիչ է այն, ինչ կատարվում  է Թուրքիայում, սիրիահայերի խնդիրն էլ շատ լուրջ է, փորձում ենք այդ խնդիրները առաջ տանել: Եթե նայենք աշխարհի քարտեզին, ապա կտեսնենք, որ Հայաստանը շատ փոքր է, համարյա չի երեւում, սակայն այն գտնվում է շատ կարեւոր մասում, եւ պետք է բոլորին հասկացնենք դա, որպեսզի ավելի շատ ուշադրություն դարձնեն մեր խնդիրնե րին»,-եզրափակեց  Ամերիկայի հայկական համագումարի տարածաշրջանային գրասենյակի տնօրենը:
