Մեծ Բրիտանիայի ոստիկանությունը հետաքննություն է սկսել Լեյբորիստական կուսակցությունից բրիտանական խորհրդարանի Ստորին պալատի պատգամավոր, ներքին գործերի խորհրդարանական հանձնաժողովի նախկին նախագահ Քիթ Վազի նկատմամբ: Նրան կասկածում են թմրանյութերի հետ կապված հանցագործությունների մեջ: Այս մասին գրում է ՏԱՍՍ-ը՝ վկայակոչելով The Guardian-ը:
Հետաքննությունը սկսելու որոշումը կայացվել է, երբ սեպտեմբերին Mirror պարբերականը հոդված է հրապարակել ուղեկցորդի ծառայություն մատուցող տղամարդկանց հետ Վազի շփվելու եւ նրանց կոկաին առաջարկելու մասին: Հրապարակումից հետո Վազը ներողություն է խնդրել իր ընտանիքից, քննադատել պարբերականին եւ հրաժարվել խորհրդարանական հանձնաժողովի ղեկավարի պաշտոնից:
Ըստ The Guardian-ի՝ ոստիկանությունում հաստատել են, որ հետաքննությունը սկսվել է հրապարակումից հետո, սակայն այլ մանրամասներ չեն ներկայացրել:
Վազն իր հերթին հայտարարել է, որ ողջունում է «լիարժեք հետաքննության անցկացումը՝ իրական փաստերը պարզելու համար»: Նա նաեւ հետաքննության հետ համագործակցելու պատրաստակամություն է հայտնել:
