Հետազոտությունների արդյունքում պարզվել է, որ եթե ասթման մեծ մասամբ առաջանում է սնկերի պատճառով, ապա այդ հիվանդության բուժումն արդեն այլ կերպ կընթանա՝ հակասնկային պատրաստուկներով, հորմոնային և հակահիստամինային պատրաստուկների փոխարեն: Սնկային սպորների ծավալը նշանակալիորեն նվազեցնելու դեպքում բրոնխների ջղաձգում չի լինի, ինչը հիանալի հեռանկար է ասթմայով հիվանդների համար, ովքեր այսօր ստիպված են միշտ իրենց մոտ պահել ինհալատորներ:
