ՄԱԿ-ի հատուկ զեկուցողը կուսումնասիրի Թուրքիայում մարդու իրավունքների վիճակը

 Միավորված ազգերի կազմակերպության (ՄԱԿ) հատուկ զեկուցող Դևիդ Քայեն այս շաբաթ առաջին անգամ պաշտոնական այց կիրականացնի Թուրքիա` ուսումնասիրելու երկրում մտքի և խոսքի ազատության իրավունքի վիճակը: Ինչպես հաղորդում է «Արմենպրես»-ը, այս մասին տեղեկացնում է ՄԱԿ-ի մարդու իրավունքների հարցերով գերագույն հանձնակա տարի գրասենյակը:

«Թուրքիան ներկայում առերեսվում է մի շարք մարտահրավերների: Հուլիսին ռազմական հեղաշրջման փորձը քննադատության արժանացավ Թուրքիայի քաղաքական ոլորտում գործող մի շարք անհատների կողմից: Դա բացահայտ հարձակում էր ժողովրդավարական ինստիտուտների և կառավարության վրա: Այդուհանդերձ, թե՛ հեղաշրջումից առաջ, թե՛ դրանից հետո սպառնալիքի տակ շարունակեցին մնալ քննադատական ձայները, ակադեմիկոսները, լրագրողները, իրավաբաններն ու քաղաքացիական հասարակության այլ անձինք: Այս ամենն այն հիմնական խնդիրներն են, որ ես ուսումնասիրելու եմ իմ այցի շրջանակում&ra quo;,- ասել է Քայեն:

Նա կարևորել է այցը մեդիայի անկախության և լրագրողների, ակտիվիստների անվտանգության վերաբերյալ առաջին ձեռքից տեղեկություն հավաքելու տեսանկյունից:

Դևիդ Քայեն Թուրքիայում հանդիպումներ կունենա երկրի օրենսդիր, գործադիր և դատական իշխանությունների հետ,քննարկումներ կանցկացնի քաղաքացիական հասարակության ներկայացուցիչների մասնակցությամբ: Այցիարդյունքներով նա կպատրաստի զեկույց Թուրքիայում մարդու իրավունքների վիճակի վերաբերյալ:
