 Իսլայելը 2010 թվականի «Մավի Մարմարա»-ի հետ կապված միջադեպից հետո Թուրքիայի հետ նոր համաձայնագրի ստորագրման արդյունքում Թուրքիայում նոր դեսպան է նշանակել եւ սպասում է Թուրքիայի կառավարության կողմից նրա հաստատմանը:

Անկարայում Իսրայելի նոր արտակարգ եւ լիազոր դեսպան է նշանակվել Էիթհա Նաեհը:

2010 թվականի մայիսի 31-ին Իսրայելցի զինվորները հարձակվել են միջազգային մարդասիրական նավաշարասյան կազմում Պաղեստինի Գազայի հատված օժանդակություն փոխադրող թուրքական «Մավի Մարմարա» նավի վրա` բեռների ստուգում անցկացվելու վերաբերյալ Թել Ավիվի պահանջներին չենթարկվելու պատճառով: Հարձակման հետեւանքով Նավի վրա 9 թուրք քաղաքացիներ էին զոհվել: Անկարան պահանջում էր Իսրայելից պաշտոնապես ներողություն խնդրել եւ փոխատուցել տուժածների ընտանիքներին: Թել Ավիվ-ը ցավ հայտնելով մարդկանց զոհվելու համար, երկար ժամանակ մերժում էր դա` նշելով, որ ի ր զինված ուժերի գործողությունները համապատասխանում են միջազգային օրենքներին:

Երկարատեւ բանակցություններից հետո Իսրայելը 2016 թվականի սեպտեմբերի 30-ին ի վերջո Թուրքիայի արդարադատության նախարարության հաշվին «Մավի Մարամարա»-ի գործով որպես փոխատուցում փոխանցել էր 20 մլն ԱՄՆ դոլար: 

2016 թվականի հոկտեմբերի 13-ին Իսրայելի էներգետիկայի նախարար Յուվալ Շտայնիցը այցելել էր Թուրքիա եւ դա 2010 թվականի «Մավի Մարմարա»-ի հետ կապված դեպքից հետո երկու երկների միջեւ նախարարի մակարդակով կատարված առաջին այցն էր:
