«Ամեն անգամ, երբ լրատվամիջոցները հրապարակում են բարձրաստիճան պաշտոնյաների եկամուտների հայտարարագրերը և զարմանք ու վրդովմունք ապրում, թե տեսեք՝ 10 միլիոն, 100 միլիոն դրամի եկամուտ է այսինչը հայտարարագրել՝ մի քանի տուն ու մեքենա, ես անկեղծորեն տարակուսում եմ: Մի՞թե մեր լրագրողներն այնքան միամիտ են, որ կարծում են, թե նախարար-փոխնախարարների, պատգամավոր-մարզպետների եկամուտները հենց այդքան են: Մի՞թե ակնհայտ չէ, որ հայտարարագրվում է եկամուտների միայն օրինական հատվածը, որն իրական եկամտի հազիվ 10 տոկոսը կարող է կազմել: Անգամ իրենց փոխկապակցված անձանց եկամուտների հայտարարագրերից էլ հնարավոր չէ իրական պատկերն ստանալ: Մեր մեծահարուստները եկամուտները թաքցնելու առնվազն 99 եղանակ գիտեն, որոնց մեծ մասն անգամ հասու չէ մեր շարքային ուղեղին:

 Դրանց մի մասը, անշուշտ, վտանգավոր եղանակներ են՝ կապված օտար անձանց նկատմամբ վստահության որոշակի ռեսուրսի հետ: Չէ որ եթե հանկարծ այնպես ստացվի, որ «բարձունքի» հասած անձն անսպասելիորեն «անդունդում» հայտնվի, հայտնի չէ, թե ինչպես կպահեն իրենց տարբեր քավոր-սանիկները, մանկության ընկերներն ու ընկերուհիները, որոնց անունով են ձևակերպված շատերի ունեցվածքն ու բիզնեսը: Բայց այս անձինք, հավանաբար, նաև բոլոր ֆորս-մաժորային իրավիճակներն են հաշվի առել, և մենք չէ, որ նրանց պետք է սովորեցնենք, թե ինչպես և ում վստահել իրենց ունեցվածքը: Այս անձինք թերևս նաև ծիծաղում են լրատվամիջոցների հրապարակումների վրա, երբ նրանք ծանր ու մեծ հրապարակում են իրենց եկամուտների հայտարարագրերը և նկատում, որ այն 1 միլիոն դրամով աճել է նախորդ տարվա համեմատ: Չէ՞ որ իրական աճը կարող է հարյուրապատիկ, հազարապատիկ ավելի լինել, իսկ մենք միայն այսբերգի երևացող մասն ենք տեսնում»,–գրում է թերթը։
