* Արդեն նավարկելուց հետո 1912 թվականի ապրիլի 10-ին «Տիտանիկ»-ը հրաշքով փրկվում է «Նյու Յորք» շոգենավի հետ բախումից:

* «Տիտանիկի» կործանման պատճառների մասին հետաքննության արդյունքում բրիտանական հանձնաժողովը պարզել է, որ, այսպես կոչված, «ագռավի բույն» դիտակետում բացակայել են հեռադիտակները:

* «Տիտանիկ»-ից ուղարկվել են միջազգային երկու տագնապի ազդանշան, որոնք գոյություն ունեին այն ժամանակ` CQD եւ SOS: Դա պատմության մեջ SOS-ի առաջին ազդանշաններից մեկն էր:

* «Տիտանիկ »-ում բավարար չեն եղել փրկանավակները բոլորի համար: Նավի վրա գտնվող 2207 մարդկանցից միայն 1178-ին կբավարարեին դրանք: Համաձայն բրիտանական նավագնացության այն ժամանակների օրենքի` փրկարար նավակների ընդհանուր թիվը կախված է եղել ոչ թե ուղեւորների եւ անձնակազմի անդամների թվից, այլ նավի տարողությունից:

* Չնայած որ « Տիտանիկ»-ի փրկանավակներում կարող էին տեղավորվել 1178 մարդ, փրկվել են միայն 706-ը: Սա բացատրվում է նավակներում տեղերի անհավասարաչափ բաշխմամբ. նրանցից մի քանիսը եղել են մարդաշատ, իսկ մյուսները նավարկել են գրեթե կիսադատարկ:

*1985 թվականին Ռոբերտ Բալլարդի ղեկավարած արշավախումբը հայտնաբերեց «Տիտանիկ»-ը Ատլանտյան օվկիանոսի հատակում, իսկ այն բանից հետո, երբ նավի կմախքը գտնվեց, բոլոր կասկածները վերացան: «Տիտանիկ»-ը ընկղմվելու ժամանակ կիսվել էր. սրանով էլ բացատրվում էր դղրդյունը, որը լսել էին ուղեւորները:

* «Տիտանիկ»-ում չեն եղել կարմիր գույնի ազդանշանային հրթիռներ, որոնք պետք է օգնության կոչ անեին: Թերեւս հենց այս փաստն է պատճառ դարձել այդքան շատ ուղեւորների մահվան: Նավը, որը «Տիտանիկ»-ից այնքան էլ հեռու չի եղել, լուրջ չի ընդունել սպիտակ գույնի հրթիռային արձակումները, եւ օգնության չի եկել:
