Կալիֆոռնիայում սկսել են նախապատրաստվել անկախության հանրաքվեին

Կալիֆոռնիայի անկախության կողմնակիցները նահանգի դատախազությանն առաջարկություն են հանձնել ԱՄՆ-ի կազմից դուրս գալու հանրաքվեի վերաբերյալ: Այդ մասին, ինչպես տեղեկացնում Է «Արմենպրես»-ը, հայտնել Է The Los Angeles Times թերթը: Որպես նախաձեռնողներ հանդես են գալիս Yes California շարժման անդամները:
Ակտիվիստները խնդրել են հաշվառման դնել իրենց փաստաթուղթը, որը կրում Է «Calexit. 2019 թվականի հանրահարցում Կալիֆոռնիայի անկախության շուրջ»: Հայտը ձեւակերպելուց հետո նրանք կկարողանան ձեռնամուխ լինել ի պաշտպանություն հանրաքվեի ստորագրությունների հավաքմանը: Նրանց խոսքով՝ դրա համար իրենք արդեն ունեն 13 հազար կամավորներ:
Շարժման համահիմնադիր եւ փոխնախագահ Մարկուս Ռուիս Էվանսը պարզաբանել Է, որ հանրաքվեի անցկացման հարցը պլանավորվել Էր բարձրացնել մինչեւ հաջորդ տարվա սկիզբը, սակայն ԱՄՆ-ի նախագահական ընտրություններում Դոնալդ Թրամփի հաղթանակն ակտիվիստներին հարկադրեց արագացնել: «Այդ ամենն իրական Է: Մենք դրան լրջորեն ենք վերաբերվում»,-հավելել Է Էվանսը:
Կալիֆոռնիայի անջատվելու կողմնակիցները հուսով են, որ քվեարկությունը կարելի կլինի անցկացնել 2019 թվականի մարտի 13-ին: Նահանգի բնակիչներին առաջարկել են պատասխանել հետեւյալ հարցին. «Իրենք կարծում ենք արդյոք, որ Կալիֆոռնիան պետք Է դառնա ազատ, ինքնիշխան եւ անկախ պետություն»: Ակտիվիստների որոշմամբ՝ հանրաքվեի արդյունքները պետք Է ճանաչվեն, եթե քվեարկությանը մասնակցի նահանգի բնակիչների ավելի քան 50 տոկոսը, եւ նրանց 55 տոկոսը դրականորեն պատասխանի քվեաթերթիկում նշված հարցին:
Նոյեմբերի 9-ին Կալիֆոռնիայի բնակիչները կոչ են արել՝ արշավ սկսել ԱՄՆ-ի կազմից նահանգի դուրս գալու շուրջ: Twitter-ում սկսել Է ժողովրդականություն վայելել #Calexit հեշթեգը (California exit, Brexit-ի նմանօրինակությամբ. British exit-ի կրճատված ձեւն Է, օգտագործվում Է Եվրամիությունից ՄԵծ Բրիտանիայի դուրս գալը նշելու համար):
Կալիֆոռնիան ԱՄՆ-ի ամենաբնակեցված նահանգն Է (գրեթե 40 մլն մարդ), գտնվում Է Խաղաղ օվկիանոսի արեւմտյան ափին: Երկրի բոլոր նահանգների շրջանում առաջին տեղն Է զբաղեցնում Համախառն ներքին արդյունքի (ՀՆԱ) ծավալով:
