Մեծ Բրիտանիայի բժիշկները, ստամոքսի քաղցկեղից վիրահատված հիվանդներին խորհուրդ են տալիս ծամել առանց շաքարի ծամոն, որպեսզի շուտ վերականգնվի ստամոքսի և աղիների աշխատանքը: Այս անսովոր մեթոդը հնարավորություն կտա հիվանդներին մի քանի օր շուտ դուրս գրվել հիվանդանոցից, հայտնում է The Telegraph-ը:

Բժիշկները խորհուրդ են տալիս այս մեթոդը կիրառել օրը երեք անգամ: Ծամել հարկավոր է մեկ ժամ: Բժիշկները պնդում են, որ հիվանդների հետվիրահատական վերականգնմանը խանգարում է աղիքների խցանումը: Ծամոնը նպաստում է թքարտադրությանը, որն աշխատացնում է ենթաստամոքսային գեղձը, որն էլ իր հերթին արտադրում է ֆերմենտներ: Իսկ ֆերմենտները խթանում են ստամոքսի և աղիների աշխատանքը:
