Սեթենիլ-դե-լաս-Բոդեգաս իսպանական քաղաք է քարերի տակ եւ թերեւս Անդալուզիայի ամենազարմանալի վայրերից է: Սեթենիլ-դե-լաս-Բոդեգասը վաղուց է հայտնի իր ուրույն աշխարհագրական դիրքով: Տները կառուցված են բնական քարանձավների ընդլայնման ճանապարհով: Նման պատկեր կարելի է տեսնել Բոլիվիայում, որտեղ Լա Պաս քաղաքը «աճել» է հանգած հրաբխի խառնարանում:
Պատմական գրառումները ցույց են տալիս, որ քաղաքը հիմնադրվել է հռոմեական ժամանակներում, այն կառուցվել է հրվանդանում, որը հետագայում զավթել են մահմեդականները:
Շատ գիտնականներ կարծում են, որ քաղաքի անունը կապված է ռազմական իրադարձությունների հետ: Անվան առաջին մասը, իբր ստացվել է «septem nihil», որը բառացիորեն նշանակում է «յոթ անգամ առանց արդյունքի»: Դա նմանեցվում է քրիստոնեական զորքերի մի շարք անհաջող հարձակումների պատճառով առաջացած անվան: Երկրորդ մասը անվան, «Դե Լաս Բոդեգաս" - ստացել է գինիների առատ եւ արժեքավոր տեսակների արտադրության շնորհիվ, որով վաղուց հռչակավոր է այս վայրը: Հատկանշական է, որ տարածքի առաջին խաղողները տնկվել են քրիստոնյաների կողմից, որպես լրացում այստեղ աճող ձիթապտղի եւ նուշի պլանտացիաների:
