«Օրենքով գող» հասկացությունը միշտ էլ մինշանակ չի ընկալվել հանրության շրջանում: Մարդկանց մի մասը դատապարտում է նրանց գործունեությունը, իսկ մեկ այլ հատված մեծարում է նրանց և ցանկանում նմանվել նրանց:
«Օրենքով գողերի» մասին խոսելիս մի բան հստակ կարելի է ասել, որ նրանցից շատերը այսօրվա իշխանավորներցի շատ ավելի հայրենասեր և ազգասեր էին: Համացանցում կա տարածված մի տեսանյութ, որի հերոսը «օրենքով գող» Էջմիածինցի Հարութիկն է:
Տեսանյութից պարզ է դառնում, որ նա «գողական ռազբորկաներից» մեկի արդյունքում Հայաստանին է վերադարձրել 600 մլն ռուբլի՝ հայտարարելով, որ դա հայ ժողովրդի գումարն է և այն անպայման պետք է գնա հայրենիք:
