 Հարավային Կորեայի նախագահ Պակ Կըն Հեի վարկանիշը երկրում ծավալված կոռուպցիոն սկանդալի ֆոնին ընկել Է 4 տոկոսի մակարդակ: Այդ մասին, ինչպես տեղեկացնում Է «Արմենպրես»-ը, նոյեմբերի 25-ին հայտնել Է Reuters գործակալությունը՝ հղում անելով Gallup Korea սոցիոլոգիական ծառայությանը:

Հասարակական կարծիքի անցկացված հարցումը ցույց Է տվել, որ պետության ղեկավարի աջակցման մակարդակը ռեկորդային ցածր Է այն դեպքում, երբ նրա գործունեությունից դժգոհ քաղաքացիների թիվը հասել Է 93 տոկոսի: 

REALMETER սոցիոլոգիական եւ մարկետինգային գործակալության կողմից հասարակական կարծիքի հարցման տվյալները, որոնք հրապարակվել են նոյեմբերի 24-ին, վկայում են, որ  Հարավային Կորեայի բնակիչների շուրջ 80 տոկոսը հանդես Է գալիս խոշոր կոռուպցիոն սկանդալի կապակցությամբ երկրի նախագահ Պան Կըն Հեի պաշտոնազրկման օգտին, եւ միայն 15 տոկոսն Է դրան դեմ: Այդ տվալների համաձայն՝ Հարավային Կորեայի բնակիչների 80 տոկոսը ցանկանում Է նախագահ Պան Կըն Հեի պաշտոնաթողությունը, որին երկրի դատախազությունը նախնական կարգով սկանդալի մեղսակից Է ճանաչել՝ պետության գործերին Ցոյ Սուն Սիլ անունով նրա ընկերուհու միջամտությամբ:

Հարավային Կորեայի նախագահի շուրջ քաղաքական սկանդալը ծավալվել Է այն բանից հետո, երբ Պան Կըն Հեն հրապարակավ ներողություն խնդրեց նախագահական ելույթների տասնյակ տեքստերի այսպես կոչված «արտահոսքի» համար, որոնց նրա  մտերիմ ընկերուհին՝ Ցոյ Սուն Սիլը ծանոթացել Էր, նախքան դրանք կընթերցվեին հանրության առջեւ: Բացի այդ, չԷր բացառվում, որ Ցոյ Սուն Սիլը յուրացրել Է բիզնես-կորպորացիաներից հավաքված 70 մլն դոլար միջոցների մի մասը՝ արտասահմանում անշարժ գույք ձեռք բերելու եւ Հարավային Կորեայի առավել հեղինակավոր բուհերից մեկում իր դստեր ուսո ւմնառության դիմաց վճարելու համար:

Հարավային Կորեայի ընդդիմությունը ձգտում Է դեկտեմբերի սկզբին քվեարկություն անցկացնել Պան Կըն Հեի պաշտոնազրկման շուրջ:  Հարավային Կորեայի Սահմանադրության համաձայն, նախագահին չի կարելի ենթարկել հետաքննության, սակայն ակնկալում են, որ Պան Կըն Հեն կամավոր ցուցմունքներ կտա: Համենայն դեպս նա խոստացել Էր դա անել նոյեմբերի 4-ին ժողովրդին հղած ուղերձում, հաղորդել Է ՏԱՍՍ-ը:
