Գերմանիայի ՆԳ նախարար Թոմաս դե Մեզիերը հայտարարել է, որ երկիրը Հյուսիսային Աֆրիկայի և Մերձավոր արևելքի երկրներից միգրանտների ներհոսքի պատճառով վերականգնում է սահմանային հսկողությունը, տեղեկացնում է «Արմենպրես»-ը:
Առանձնակի ուշադրություն է դարձվելու Ավստրիայի հետ սահմանին: Der Spiegel-ի տվյալներով՝ կառավարությունը քննարկում է սահման զինվորականներ ուղարկելու հնարավորությունը:
«Այս միջոցները նպատակամղված են այն բանին, որ կրճատվի միգրանտների հոսքը և վերականգնվի եկվորների գրանցման բնականոն ընթացակարգը»,- հայտարարել է նախարարը:
Մինչդեռ այդ գործողությունները հակասում են շենգենյան գոտու սկզբունքներին, որն ազատ տեղաշարժ է նախատեսում դրա շրջանակներում: Սակայն «հասարակական կամ ազգային անվտանգության» նպատակներով երկրները կարող են ժամանակավորապես վերականգնել սահմանային հսկողությունը:
Այժմ սահմանն անարգել կարող են հատել միայն ԵՄ-ի քաղաքացիները և այն մարդիկ, ովքեր ունեն համապատասխան փաստաթղթեր (մասնավորապես, այցագրեր):
Գերմանիան միգրանտների գլխավոր նպատակակետն է, որոնք ամեն օր հազարներով ժամանում են Եվրոպա: Ավելի վաղ երկրի իշխանությունները հայտարարում էին, որ պատրաստ են ընդունել բոլոր ցանկացողներին, բայց այժմ Գերմանիայի առանձին երկրամասերում հայտարարում են, որ արդեն ի վիճակի չեն կառավարել մարդկանց հոսքերը:
Գերմանիայի փոխկանցլեր, Էկոնոմիկայի նախարար Զիգմար Գաբրիելը սեպտեմբերի 13-ին հայտարարել է, որ երկիրը մոտեցել է եկվորների ընդունման իր հնարավորությունների առավելագույնին, հաղորդել է «Ինտերֆաքս»-ը:
