Տնտեսագետ Վարդան Բոստանջյանը կարծում է, որ Հայաստանում ԱՄՆ դոլարի փոխարժեքն էականորեն պետք է բարձրացնել' հասցնելով 540-560 դրամի, ինչը կխթանի տնտեսվարող սուբյեկտների գործունեությունը: Այս մասին հայտնեց տնտեսագետը' լրագրողների հետ հանդիպման ժամանակ: «Արմենպրես»-ի փոխանցմամբ' ըստ նրա' Հայաստան ապրանքների ներմուծումը միշտ գերազանցել է արտահանման ծավալները, իսկ այս տարի գյուղատնտեսական արտադրանքի արտահանման բարձր ցուցանիշները որոշակի առաջխաղացում ապահովեցին արտահանման ընդհանուր ծավալի մեծացման առումով:

Վարդան Բոստանջյանն, անդրադառնալով հարցին, թե տեղական արտադրությունը խթանելու ուղղությամբ ՀՀ կառավարության վարած քաղաքականությունը որքանով է նպաստավոր ԵԱՏՄ շրջանակներում, նշեց. «Հայաստանը տեղական արտադրության մասով ոչ թե ունի ուղղակի փորձ, այլ նախորդ տասնամյակներին գրանցել է մեծ հաջողություններ: Ես ձեզ հավատացնում եմ, որ գործունեության ամենատարբեր ոլորտներում' մեքենաշինություն, սարքաշինություն, հաստոցաշինություն, մալուխի արտադրություն, հանքարդյունաբերություն, թեթև արդյունաբերություն, նախկին խորհրդային տարածքում Հայաստանը գրավում էր բարձր դիրքեր»: Տնտեսագետի գնահատմամբ' Կառավարության' տեղական արտադրության, ռեզերվների օգտագործման քաղաքականության իրականացմանը խանգարող հանգամանքներ կան, որոնցից ամենաառաջինն ազատ մրցակցության ոլորտի թերություններն են:

Նրա բնորոշմամբ' դրամի և ռուբլու արժեզրկման պայմաններում մեծապես տուժում է անապահով խավը: Այս համատեքստում խոսելով աղքատության ցուցանիշների մասին, Վարդան Բոստանջյանը նշեց, որ ներկայիս պայմաններում նվազագույն սպառողական զամբյուղը մեկ անձի համար պետք է կազմի 100-120 հազար դրամ:
