Սիրիայում 18 թուք զինվոր է սպանվել

Թուրքական զինված ուժերի կողմից Սիրիայի տարացքում «Իսլամական պետություն» ահաբեկչական խմբավորման դեմ իրականացվող «Եփրատի վահան» գործողության շրջանակներում 18 թուրք զինվոր է սպանվել:

Սպանված 18 զինվորներից 15-ը սպանվել են «Իսլամական պետություն» ահաբեկչական խմբավորման ահաբեկիչների կողմից, 3-ը` սիրիական բանակի զինվորների կողմից:
Թուրքիայի զինված ուժերն «Իսլամական պետություն» ահաբեկչական խմբավորման դեմ պայքարի պատրվակով 2016 թվականի օգոստոսի 24-ին ներխուժել են սիրիական Ջերաբուլուս քաղաք, որտեղ իրականում պայքարում են սիրիացի քրդերի դեմ: Գործողությունը ստացել է «Եփրատի վահան» անունը:
Այդ գործողությամբ Թուրքիան փորձում է Եփրատի արեւմտյան ափից դուրս մղել քրդական ինքնապաշտպանական ուժերը` երկյուղելով, որ սիրիացի քրդերը կարող են ինքնավարություն ստեղծել Եփրատի արեւելյան եւ արեւմտյան ափերին եւ դրանով ամբողջությամբ իրենց ձեռքը վերցնել 900 կմ երկարությամբ թուրք-սիրիական սահմանը:
