Ամերիկյան Washington Post թերթի փոխանցմամբ՝ ԱՄՆ պաշտպանության նախարարությունը ծրագրում է 3 միլիարդ դոլար ծախսել ռազմածովային ուժերի համար անձնակազմ չունեցող սուզանավերի նախագծի մշակման վրա։
Հաղորդվում է, որ Պենտագոնւ ծրագրում է իր ծովային նավատորմում նոր տեխնոլոգիաների ներդրման եղանակով առավելության հասնել Ռուսաստանի ու Չինաստանի ստորջրյա նավատորմերի հանդեպ։
Դա մասնավորապես պետք է իրականացվի անձնակազմ չունեցող սուզանավերի միջոցով, որոնք պետք է պարեկություն կատարեն ծովերում և մասնակցեն ռազմական գործողությունների։
Ներկա դրությամբ նախագիծը գտնվում է մշակման փուլում, սակայն ռազմական ինժեներները գնալով ավելի են կատարելագործում իրենց տեխնոլոգիաները, որոնց շնորհիվ ապագայում հնարավոր կդառնա ինքնավար ստորջրյա համակարգերի շահագործումը։
Ամերիկացի ինժեներները նաև աշխատում են ստորջրյա հատուկ կայանների ստեղծման համար, որոնք նախատեսված են լինելու ծովային անօդաչու թռչող սարքերի կայանման համար։
