Ներաճող եղունգը հիվանդություն է, որի ժամանակ եղունգը աճում է դեպի կողք` մտնելով եղունգի թմբիկի մեջ: Այս հիվանդությամբ տառապում են շատերը, և հիմնականում ոտնաթաթի մեծ մատի եղունգն է նման խնդիր ստեղծում: Որպես կանոն՝ ներաճող եղունգը մի քանի էտապ է անցնում: Սկզբում հիվանդությունն իր մասին զգացնել է տալիս քայլելու ժամանակ, հատկապես նեղ կոշիկի մեջ: Հետո կարմրում է ու այտուցվում, իսկ ժամանակին բուժումը չսկսելու դեպքում, սկսում էեղունգից թարախային արտադրություն գալ: Աշխատելով լուծել այս խնդիրը` մարդիկ ավելի կարճ են կտրում եղունգը, խորացնելով առանց այն էլ լուրջ իրավիճակը: Իսկ այս դեպքում միշտ էլ մեծանում է ինֆեկցիայի հավանականությունը:
 
Հիվանդի անտարբերությունը կարող է շատ վտանգավոր բարդությունների հանգեցնել` հյուսվածքները կարող են նեկրոզվել և հասցնել ընդհուպ մեծ մատի գանգրենայի: Եղունգի ներաճելու պատճառները մի քանիսն են` եղունգի ոչ ճիշտ, չափից խորը կտրելն է, նեղ կոշիկ կրելը` հատկապես բարձրակրունկ: Այս ժամանակ եղունգը ուժեղ սեղմվում է թմբիկի մեջ:
 
Երբեմն էլ օրգանիզմը հակվածություն է ունենում եղունգների ներաճելուն:Եղունգի ներաճ լինում է, երբ ոտքը սնկային հիվանդությամբ հիվանդանում է կամ ինչ-որ տրավմայի ենթարկվում: Եթե այս երևույթը շարունակական բնույթ է կրում, պետք է հրաժարվել նեղ կոշիկներ հագնելուց ու եղունգները շատ կարճ կտրելուց: Իսկ եղունգի ձևը պետք է լինի քառակուսի, բայց ծայրերը՝ մի քիչ կլորավուն: Նման իրավիճակներից խուսափելու համար անհրաժեշտ է նաև տանը պրոֆիլակտիկ պրոցեդուրաներ կատարել` քլորոֆիլիպտի ու յոդուկսունի օգտագործումը: Իսկ եթե, այնուամենայնիվ, ներաճած եղունգը շարունակում է ձեզ անհանգստացնել, ուրեմն անհապաղ պետք է դիմել բժշկի: Ժամանակակից բժշկությունն առաջարկում է այս խնդրի լուծման մի քանի տարբերակ:
 
Ավելի ռադիկալային, բայց ոչ այնքան դուրեկան պրոցեդուրան` վիրաբուժական միջամտությամբ ներաճած եղունգի հեռացումն է: Չնայած այս մեթոդն ունի շատ բացասական կողմեր` սկսած հետվիրահատական ցավերից, որ կարող է տևել 2 շաբաթ, վերջացրած` երկար ժամանակ ապաքինվելուց: Մյուս տարբերակը ներաճած եղունգի լազերային վիրաբուժությունն է, որի ժամանակ հեռացվում է եղունգիմիայն ներաճած մասը:
