Արա Աբրահամյանը ամուսնացել է 1987 թվականին: Նրա կնոջ անունը Նատալյա է: Ինչպես Արա Աբրահամյանն է խոստովանել, իր բախտը կնոջ հարցում շատ է բերել. «Ուրիշների կանանցից լավն է, թե վատը իմ կինը, չգիտեմ, բայց որ ինձ համար ավելի լավ չի լինում, հաստատ է:

Ես նրան ճանաչում եմ, կարելի է ասել, մանկուց: Խնդիրն այն է, որ ես ի սկզբանե ծանոթացել եմ նրա հոր հետ: Ես արդեն միության տնօրեն էի, իսկ նա որպես ղեկավար նոր էր մարզից տեղափոխվել Մոսկվա: Դա 80-ականներին էր: Իմ և ապագա աներոջս հարաբերությունները լավ էին դասավորվել, մենք ընկերացանք: Ես նրանց էի հյուր գնում, իսկ ինքը մեզ էր հյուր գալիս, երբ գալիս էր Հայաստան: Նատաշան այն ժամանակ դեռ դպրոցական էր, և ես չէի էլ կարող մտածել, որ մի օր կդառնա երեխաներիս մայրը:

Ամեն ինչ սկսվեց, երբ մենք Վլադիսլավ Ֆեոդորովիչ Ստանիսլավչիկին, այդպես է աներոջս անունը, հրավիրեցինք միջնեկ եղբորս հարսանիքին: Նա եկել էր ընտանիքի հետ: Նատաշան այն ժամանակ 18 տարեկան էր, և սովորում էր 1-ին կուրսում: Իսկ ես մեծ տղամարդ էի: Ապագա աներս ասաց. «Նա իմ միակ դուստրն է, հուսով եմ՝ պատասխանատու կլինես»: Մեր հարսանիքի տևել է 7 օր՝ Մոսկվայում և Երևանում: Եվ ամեն անգամ սեղանի շուրջ հավաքվում էր 70-80 մարդ:
