Դպրոցներում համակարգիչների համատարած օգտագործումը չի բարձրացնում աշակերտների ուսման առաջադիմությունը: Ինչպես տեղեկացնում Է «Արմենպրես»-ը՝ հղում անելով BBC-ին, այս եզրակացության են եկել այն հետազոտության հեղինակները, որը Տնտեսական համագործակցության եւ զարգացման կազմակերպության (ՏՀԶԿ) պատվերով անցկացվել Է աշխարհի ավելի քան 70 երկրում:

ՏՀԶԿ-ի կողմից հրապարակված զեկույցի համաձայն՝ դպրոցական տեղեկատվական տեխնոլոգիաներում արված ընդգրկուն ներդրումները ընթերցանության, մաթեմատիկայի եւ բնական գիտությունների գծով Սովորողների կրթական ձեռքբերումների գնահատման միջազգային ծրագրի (PISA) թեստի արդյունքների «նկատելի բարելավումների չեն հանգեցրել»:  

Ինչպես այդ առիթով հայտարարել Է ՏՀԶԿ-ի կրթական ծրագրերի տնօրեն Անդրեաս Շլյախերը, համակարգչայնացումը եւ Համացանցի ներդրումը դպրոցներում «չափազանց շատ անիրականանալի հույսեր են ծնել»:

Ըստ Gartner վերլուծական կենտրոնի տվյալների, ամեն տարի աշխարհում դպրոցական համակարգչային տեխնոլոգիաների զարգացման վրա ծախսվում Է ավելի քան 26 մլրդ դոլար:

Ուսումնասիրությունը ցույց Է տալիս, որ չկա մի երկիր, որտեղ ուսման մեջ համակարգիչների եւ Համացանցի լայն օգտագործումը հանգեցներ առաջադիմության բարձրացման:

Ընդհակառակը, ինչպես պնդվում Է զեկույցում, այն աշակերտները, ովքեր մյուսներից ավելի հաճախ են օգտվել դպրոցական համակարգիչներից, ամենացածր առաջադիմությունն են ցուցաբերել:

Դպրոցներում առավել ակտիվորեն Համացանց օգտագործող յոթ երկրներից երեքում (Ավստրալիա, Նոր Զելանդիա եւ Շվեդիա) ընթերցանության թեստի արդյունքների «զգալի վատթարացում» Է դիտվել:

Պարզվել Է, որ թեստի արդյունքներն Էականորեն բարձր են այն երկրներում ու քաղաքներում, որտեղ Համացանցը դպրոցներում ավելի քիչ Է օգտագործվում (Հարավային Կորեա, Հոնկոնգ, Շանհայ եւ Ճապոնիա):

Սինգապուրի դպրոցներում սովորողները, որտեղ ուսումնական գործընթացում համակարգիչները չափավոր են օգտագործվում, թվային տեխնոլոգիաների օգտագործման լավագույն ունակություններն են դրսեւորել:
