Որպեսզի հարաբերությունները նորմալ զարգանան (ռոմանտիկ կամ ընկերական՝ կարեւոր չէ), պետք է կարողանաք ձեր ընկերոջից խնդրել այն, ինչ ձեզ հարկավոր է:

Ի վերջո՝ բոլորս էլ գիտենք, որ լավ հարաբերությունների հիմքն անկեղծ շփումն է: Բայց նախկինում չէի հասկանում, թե որքան դժվար է դա:

Որոշ կանայք ի ծնե սովոր են բոլորի պահանջները կատարել, պարզապես մեզ սովորեցնում են դա. հասարակությունը, ընտանիքը, գրեթե բոլորը եւ ամենուր, որ մեր ամենամեծ արժեքը սեփական պահանջմունքներն ու ցանկություններն անտեսելն է՝ ուրիշներին տալու համար այն, ինչ ՆՐԱՆՑ պետք է:

Իհարկե, սիրելի մարդկանց հանդեպ անշահախնդիր, բարի, սիրող եւ առատաձեռն լինելը հրաշալի հատկություններ են:

Բայց դա ոչինչ չի նշանակում, եթե երկարատեւ հեռանկարում դուք սկսում եք դրա համար վանել այդ մարդկանց: Ինչպե՞ս է դա տեղի ունենում:

Պարզապես նրանց չեք ասում, թե ինչ է հարկավոր ՁԵԶ: Դուք ջանում, ջանում եք նրանց համար, եւ կարծես լավ եք զգում նույնիսկ առանց սեփական պահանջմունքների: Բայց որոշ ժամանակ անց զգում եք, որ ձեր մասին ոչ ոք հոգ չի տանում:

Ես նախորդ հարաբերություններում խղճուկ էի, բայց դա հիմնականում իմ մեղքն էր: Ես պարզապես սպասում էի, որ իմ տղամարդը կկարդա իմ մտքերը: Իսկ նա որտեղի՞ց կարող էր իմանալ, որ ես հոգնել եմ եւ ոչ մի տեղ չեմ ուզում գնալ: Կամ որ ուզում եմ, որ գրկի ինձ, կամ ինձ համար ավելի կարեւոր մի բան:

Մենք՝ կանայք, հաճախ վախենում ենք քմահաճ, կպչուն, պահանջկոտ երեւալ, այդ պատճառով պարզապես լռում ենք անգամ մեր տարրական պահանջմունքների մասին:

Հարաբերություններում երկուսն էլ պետք է սատարեն միմյանց իրենց պահանջմունքներում: Հենց դա է «Ես քեզ սիրում եմ» արտահայտության իմաստը:

Եթե տղան չի կարողանում կողմնորոշվել ձեր հարաբերությունների կարգավիճակի հարցում, պետք չէ նստել եւ սպասել, մինչ նա ինչ-որ բան կվճռի: Ասեք, թե ձեզ ինչ է պետք, ինչ եք սպասում ձեր հարաբերություններից: Եթե նա չի կարող ձեզ տալ դա, ավելի լավ է իմանալ հիմա, քան կես տարի անց:

Այո, դժվար է խնդրել այն, ինչ ձեզ պետք է հարաբերություններում: Չէ՞ որ կարող են մերժել: Իսկ երբ սիրում եք, մերժումն ավելի ցավոտ եւ սարսափելի է: Բայց հենց դա է դիմացինին բացվելը, նրա առջեւ խոցելի լինելը: Դա անհրաժեշտ է, եթե իսկական մտերմություն եք ուզում:
