Աշխարհում զինված հակամարտությունների եւ անկայունության աճը խիստ մտահոգություն Է առաջացնում, քանի որ շատ բացասական ներգործություն Է ունենում պարենային անվտանգության ապահովման հետ կապված իրադրության վրա: Այդ մասին, ինչպես տեղեկացնում Է «Արմենպրես»-ը, ՌԻԱ Նովոստիին տված հարցազրույցում հայտարարել Է Õ �ԱԿ-ի Պարենավորման եւ գյուղատնտեսական կազմակերպության (FAO) գլխավոր տնօրեն Ժոզե Գրացիանու դա Սիլվան:
ՄԱԿ-ի հանգուցային կառույցի ղեկավարը, որն զբաղվում Է սովի եւ թերասնման վերացմամբ, նշել Է, որ ներկայում ավելի քան 56 մլն մարդ Է գտնվում այն երկրներում, որոնք սուր եւ ձգձգվող 17 ճգնաժամ են ապրում: FAO-ի կողմից ընդունված պարենային անվտանգության փուլերի դասակարգման համաձայն, այս մարդիկ ապրում են «ճգնաժամային» կամ «արտակարգ» պայմաններում:
«Երկրագնդի աղքատ բնակչության շուրջ կեսն այժմ ապրում Է այնպիսի երկրներում, որոնք բնութագրվում են խոցելիությամբ եւ հակամարտություններով այն դեպքում, երբ 1990 թվականին դրանցում ապրում Էր այդ մարդկանց միայն հինգերորդ մասը: Ծայրահեղ չքավորության մեջ ապրող մարդկանց 93 տոկոսն ապրում Է այն երկրներում, որոնք համարվում են անկայուն եւ Էկոլոգիապես խոցելի: Մեր գնահատումներով՝ ձգձգվող ճգնաժամերի պայմաններում ապրող սովյալների բաժինը գրեթե եռակի ավելի Է, քան մյուս զարգացող երկրներում»,-ասել Է Գրացիանու դա Սիլվան:
Նա ընդգծել Է, որ արդի դարաշրջանում սովի առաջացումը գրեթե միշտ կապված Է ճգնաժամերի ու հակամարտությունների հետ: Պատահական չԷ, որ FAO-ի տվյալներով՝ հումանիտար գործունեության ֆինանսավորման պահանջների շուրջ 80 տոկոսն այժմ կապված Է սուր հակամարտությունների հետ:
Դա Սիլվայի խոսքով՝ պարենային անվտանգության հետ կապված իրադրությունն այնպիսի պետություններում, ինչպիսիք են՝ Հարավային Սուդանը, Սիրիան եւ Եմենը, այսօր «պարզապես սոսկալի» Է: «Սիրիայում նախքան քաղաքացիական պատերազմի սկսվելը գյուղատնտեսության մեջ զբաղված Էր երկրի բնակչության կեսը: Բայց այդ ճյուղը քայքայվել Է հակամարտության հետեւանքով, եւ ներկայում սննդամթերքի արտադրությունը ռեկորդային ցածր մակարդակի վրա Է»,-նշել Է նա:
