Հռոմի Ֆրանցիսկոս պապը դառնում է 80 տարեկան

Հռոմի Սրբազան քահանայապետ Ֆրանցիսկոս պապը դեկտեմբերի 17-ին նշում է ծննդյան 80 ամյակը: Ինչպես հաղորդում է «Արմենպրես»-ը, աշխարհի տարբեր երկրների առաջնորդներ շնորհավորել են կաթոլիկ աշխարհի հոգևոր առաջնորդին հոբելյանի առթիվ:
Բուենոս Այրեսի նախկին արքեպիսկոպոս Խորխե Մարիո Բերգոլիոն Հռոմի 266-րդ պապ է դարձել 2013 թվականի մարտին: Նա հայտնի է հայերի և Հայոց ցեղասպանության նկատմամբ ունեցած դրական դիրքորոշմամբ:
Հայոց ցեղասպանության 91-րդ տարելիցին նվիրված միջոցառումների ժամանակ Բուենոս Այրեսում նա կոչ էր արել Թուրքիային ճանաչել Հայոց ցեղասպանությունը որպես «Օսմանյան կայսրությունում հայ ժողովրդի և ողջ մարդկության հանդեպ իրականացված ծանրագույն հանցագործություն»:
2015 թվականի ապրիլի 12-ին Վատիկանի Սուրբ Պետրոսի տաճարում Հռոմի Ֆրանցիսկոս պապը մատուցեց Հայոց ցեղասպանության 100-րդ տարելիցին նվիրված պատարագ: Այս պատմական իրադարձությանը ներկա էին ՀՀ նախագահ Սերժ Սարգսյանը, Ամենայն Հայոց Գարեգին Բ կաթողիկոսը, Մեծի Տանն Կիլիկիո Արամ Ա կաթողիկոսը, ինչպես նաև հայ կաթոլիկների պատրիարք Ներսես Պետրոս XIX-ը: Պատարագի ժամանակ Ֆրանցիսկոս պապը նշեց, որ 20-րդ դարում տեղի է ունեցել Ցեղասպանություն, որին զոհ են գնացել հայեր, հույներ ու ասորիներ: Պատարագի ընթացում Հայ եկեղեցու սրբերի շարքը դասված Գրիգոր Նարեկացին հռչակվեց Կաթոլիկ եկեղեցու տիեզերական վարդապետ:
2016 թվականի հունիսի 24-ին Հռոմի պապն այցելեց Հայաստան: Երկար սպասված այցելությունն իրականացվեց «Այց առաջին քրիստոնյա երկիր» խորագրի ներքո: Հայաստանում նա այցելեց Ծիծեռնակաբերդ՝ Հայոց ցեղասպանության զոհերի հիշատակին նվիրված հուշահամալիր, ծաղկեպսակ դրեց հուշակոթողին և աղոթեց: Հայոց Ցեղասպանության թանգարան-ինստիտուտի պատվո այցելուների գրքում նա գրեց. «Այստեղ աղոթում եմ՝ ցավը սրտիս մեջ, որպեսզի այլևս երբեք նման ողբերգություններ, ինչպիսին սա է, չկրկնվեն, որպեսզի մարդկությունը չմոռանա և իմանա չարությանը բարությամբ հաղթել: Թող Աստված պարգևի սիրեցյալ հայ ժողովրդին և ամբողջ աշխարհին խաղաղություն և մխիթարություն: Աստված պահպանի հայ ժողովրդի հիշողությունը: Հիշողությունը չի կարելի ոչ պղտորել, ոչ մոռանալ: Հիշողությունը խաղաղության և ապագայի աղբյուրն է»:
Հռոմի պապն այցելել էր նաև Հայ Առաքելական Սուրբ եկեղեցու համար կարևորագույն սրբավայրերից մեկը՝ Խոր Վիրապ, որտեղ Ամենայն Հայոց կաթողիկոսի հետ աղոթելուց հետո նրանք աղավնիներ էին բաց թողել Արարատի ուղղությամբ:
