Գիտնականները պարզել են, որ կան օբյեկտիվ պատճառներ, որոնցից ելնելով կարելի է օրական մի քանի բաժակ սուրճ ըմպել: Ստորև ներկայացվում են այդ պատճառներից մի քանիսը.

1. Սուրճը նվազեցնում է ուռուցքի մի քանի տեսակների առաջացման ռիսկերը: 1980 թվականին բժիշկները եկել էին եզրակացության, որ սուրճն առաջացնում է ենթաստամոքսային գեղձի ուռուցք, մինչդեռ 2007թ-ին գիտնականները հանգել են ամբողջությամբ այլ եզրակացության, որ սուրճը կանցերոգեն չի հանդիսանում: Շվեյցարիայում  59 կնոջ մասնակցությամբ փորձ է իրականացվել, որի արդյունքում չի նկատվել սուրճի և կրծքի ուռուցքի միջև որևէ կապ: Իսկ այն մարդկանց մոտ, ովքեր օրական 2-3 բաժակ սուրճ են օգտագործում, ավելի քիչ է լյարդի ուռուցքով հիվանդանալու ռիսկը: Նման եզրակացությամբ են հանդես եկել Ճապոնիայի բժիշկները` 90 հազար մարդ հետազոտելուց հետո:

2. Սուրճը կարողանում է վերացնել հոգնածությունը ծանր ֆիզիկական աշխատանքից հետո: Սպորտային բժիշկները կոֆեին են ավելացրել մարզիկների ըմպելիքների մեջ, որն օգտագործելուց հետո բժիշկները հանգել են այն եզրակացության, որ կոֆեինը կարողանում է վերականգնել  օրգանիզմի մկանային տոնուսը: Կոֆեինի միջոցով մարմինն արագ վերականգնում է ածխաջրերը:

3. Սուրճը բարձրացնում է տրամադրությունը և ուժ է տալիս: Այս ըմպելիքը ոչ միայն էներգիա է տալիս, այլև կենտրոնացնում է ուշադրությունը, իսկ սրան հասնելու համար անհրաժեշտ է սուրճի օգտագործումը դարձնել պարբերական: Գիտնականները հայտարարում են, որ օրական 2-4 բաժակ սուրճ խմելու դեպքում մարդկանց մոտ նվազում է դեպրեսիայի մեջ ընկնելու հավանականությունը: Սակայն եթե արդեն մարդն դեպրեսիայի մեջ է, ապա ավելի լավ է սուրճ ընդհանրապես չխմել, քանի որ այն կարող է թողնել լրիվ հակառակ ազդեցությունը:
