ՀՀ Նախագահի նստավայրում տեղի է ունեցել պաշտոնական այցով Հայաստան ժամանած Իրանի Իսլամական Հանրապետության Նախագահ Հասան Ռոհանիի դիմավորման պաշտոնական արարողությունը: 

Ինչպես «Արմենպրես»-ին տեղեկացրին ՀՀ Նախագահի աշխատակազմի հասարակայնության և տեղեկատվության միջոցների հետ կապերի վարչությունից, Իրանի Նախագահը առանձնազրույց է ունեցել Հայաստանի Նախագահի հետ, որից հետո տեղի է ունեցել Սերժ Սարգսյանի և Հասան Ռոհանիի հանդիպումը ընդլայնված կազմով՝ երկու երկրների պաշտոնական պատվիրակությունների մասնակցությամբ: 

«Հարգելի՛ պարոն Նախագահ, ես սիրով ողջունում եմ Ձեզ Հայաստանի Հանրապետությունում: Դուք հայ ժողովրդի կողմից սպասված և ցանկալի հյուր եք, և մենք լիահույս ենք, որ Ձեր առաջին պաշտոնական այցը Իրանի Իսլամական Հանրապետության Նախագահի պաշտոնում նոր ոգի և շունչ կհաղորդի մեր համագործակցությանը: Հայ-իրանական բարեկամությունը գալիս է դարերի խորքերից, և հենվելով այդ շատ ամուր հիմքի վրա՝ 1992 թվականին մենք ձևավորեցինք միջպետական հարաբերություններ: Այսօր՝ 25 տարի անց, ես շատ ուրախ եմ, որ կարող ենք փաստել՝ այս ժամանակահատվածում չի եղել մի հանգամանք, որ մթագնի մեր հարաբերությունները: Մենք շնորհակալ ենք Իրանի Իսլամական Հանրապետության ղեկավարությանը մեր հարաբերությունների նկատմամբ ուշադիր վերաբերմունքի հա մար: Մենք էլ մշտապես եղել ենք շիտակ և ազնիվ մեր հարաբերություններում և պատրաստ ենք այդպես էլ շարունակել: Օգտվելով առիթից՝ խնդրում եմ իմ խորին հարգանքն ու բարեմաղթանքները փոխանցել Իրանի հոգևոր առաջնորդ Սեյեդ Ալի Հոսեյն Խամենեին: Բարով եք եկել Հայաստան»,-ասել է ՀՀ Նախագահը:

«Մեծարգո՛ Նախագահ, անչափ շնորհակալ եմ և շատ ուրախ, որ այսօր այցելել եմ Հայաստանի Հանրապետություն՝ գեղեցիկ երկիր Հայաստանի Հանրապետություն և Երևան մայրաքաղաք: Մենք Հայաստանի Հանրապետությունը համարում ենք մեզ բարեկամ երկիր և ցանկանում ենք մեր երկկողմ հարաբերություններն ավելի ջերմացնել ու զարգացնել: Մենք՝ երկու երկրներս, պատկանում ենք միևնույն մշակույթին և քաղաքակրթությանը: Միշտ երկու երկրների ժողովուրդների հարաբերությունները եղել են ջերմ և բարեկամական»,-Նախագահ Սերժ Սարգսյանի հետ հանդիպմանն ասել է Իրանի Նախագահ Հասան Ռոհան ին:
