«Ժողովուրդ» թերթը գրում է. «Այն, որ ՀՀ պաշտպանության նախկին նախարար Սեյրան Օհանյանի մուտքը քաղաքականություն աղմուկով էր լինելու, կասկածից վեր էր: Ի վերջո, նա 8 տարի լինելով պաշտպանական գերատեսչության ղեկավար՝ վստահաբար հասցրել է իր համար ռեսուրսներ կուտակել: Խոսքը ե՛ւ ֆինանսական, ե՛ւ մարդկային ռեսուրսների մասին է, որոնք շատ կարեւոր են քաղաքական դաշտ մուտք գործելու համար:
Իսկ հիմա նա քաղաքական դաշտում կգործի իրական ընդդիմադի՞ր, իշխանակա՞ն, թե՞ վերահսկելի ընդդիմադիր դաշտում, ապագան ցույց կտա: Բայց «Ժողովուրդ» օրաթերթին պարբերաբար լուրեր են հասնում այն մասին, որ Սեյրան Օհանյանը հասարակական ու քաղաքական բոլոր դեմքերի հետ հանդիպումների ժամանակ շատ կոպիտ է արտահայտվում ՀՀԿ-ի ու հատկապես Սերժ Սարգսյանի մասին՝ ընդգծելով, որ շատ ասելիք ունի:
Իսկ թե ինչն է նրան զայրացրել, այդ աստիճան ագրեսիվացրել, թերեւս, դժվար չէ հասկանալ: Նա ինչ-որ պահից դարձավ նախագահական նստավայրի երիտթեւի թիրախը: Բայց մյուս կողմից չպետք է մոռանալ, որ նեղանալը քաղաքական կատեգորիա չէ»:
