Արցախում վերջերս հայտնաբերված քարաբեկորները, որոնք տեղադրված են Արցախյան լեռների տափաստանամերձ հատվածի արևելյան լանջերից մեկի վրա և զբաղեցնում են մոտ մեկ քառակուսի կիլոմետր տարածք, բնական գոյացություններ են: Ուսումնասիրության արդյունքում նման եզրակացության է եկել ԵՊՀ մշակութաբանության ամբիոնի վարիչ, ՀՀ ԳԱԱ հն ագիտության և ազգագրության ինստիտուտի Արցախի Տիգրանակերտի հնագիտական արշավախմբի ղեկավար Համլետ Պետրոսյանը: Նրա խոսքով` քարաբեկորների համեմատաբար ամբողջական օրինակներն իրենցից ներկայացնում են մոտավոր կիսագնդաձև կամ կիսաձվաձև/կիսաէլիպսաձև ծավալներ՝ բաղկացած իրար մեջ ներառված երկու թասաձև և մեկ գնդաձև ծավալներից: Մոտավոր չափերն են. տրամագիծը՝ 1,0-1,2 մետրից մինչև 3,0-3,5մետր, բարձրությունը 0,3-1,0 մետր:

«Արտաքնապես սրանք կարծեք կենտրոնական «դեղնուցից» և երկու իրար մեջ առնված «սպիտակուցներից» բաղկացած հսկայական ձվեր լինեն, որոնք ինչ-որ «հրաշքով» քարացել են և երկատվել՝ կտրվածքում ցուցադրելով երկու «սպիտակուցների» ավելի կարծր եզրերը, կենտրոնի գունդը, նրա մի մասը կամ էլ ժամանակի ընթացքում տեղից դուրս եկած գնդի փոսորակը: Այն, որ սրանք բնական ծագում ունեն, որևէ կասկած լինել չի կարող: Քարերի վրա արհեստական կտրվածքների, տաշվածքի կամ հղկման հետքերն իսպառ բացակայում են: Միայն երկու դեպքում կարելի վավերացնել, որ մարդիկ փորձել են հանել գունդը կամ նրա մի մասը: Բոլոր դեպքերում իրենց արտառոց տեսքով այս քարերը երևի առանձնակի ուշադրության են արժանացել և բացառված չէ, որ հետագա մանրամասն հետազոտությունները կարող են երևան բերել դրանց մշակութայնացման այլ փաստեր ևս»,-«Արմենպրես»-ի հաղորդմամբ` ասել է Համլետ Պետրոսյանը:

Նա դժվարանում է պատասխանել այն հարցին, թե սրանք կենդանական թե՞ այլ (բուսական, հրաբխային և այլն) ծագում ունեն: «Հուսով եմ մոտակա օրերին համապատասխան մասնագետների հետ խորհդակցությունները կհստակեցնեն այս խնդիրը ևս»,-ասել է նա, շնորհակալություն հայտնելով Մարտակերտի բնակիչ Նարեկին, ով ամիսներ առաջ նկատելով բեկորները, հայտնել է այդ մասին Մարտակերտի պատմերկրագիտական թանգարանի աշխատակիցներին և նրանց միջոցով նաև Համլետ Պետրոսյանին, ԼՂՀ էկոնոմիկայի նախարարի տեղակալ աՍերգեյ Շահվերդյանին, որ իր հրապարակումով «ստիպել» է արագացնել նախնական հետազոտությունը, շնորհակալություն Արցախի պետական համալսարանի դոցենտ պարոն Յուրա Առաքելայնին և «Պատմական միջավայրի պահպանություն» ՊՕԱԿ-ի գիտաշախատող Նժդեհ Երանյանին ու նրա տիկնոջը՝ Լիլիթ Պողոսյանին, ովքեր իրենց մասնագիտական խորհուրդներով և ֆիզիկական օգնությամբ աջակցել են այս նախնական հետազոտության ընթացքին:
