«Հայկական ժամանակ» թերթը գրում է. «Ֆինանսական շուկայում դրամը շարունակում է իր «հաղթարշավը»: Երեկ մեկ դոլարի վաճառքի գինը երեւանյան փոխանակման կետերում նվազել է 480 դրամից: Փաստորեն ընդամենը մեկ շաբաթվա ընթացքում դրամն արժեւորվել է մոտ 2 տոկոսով»:
Թե ինչով է սա պայմանավորված, այնքան էլ հասկանալի չէ: Ըստ որոշ տեսակետների, դա կարող է պայմանավորված լինել խաղողի մթերման գործոնով: Խաղող մթերողները, ըստ այդ տեսակետի, շուկայում զգալի ծավալներով դոլար են վաճառում իրենց հաճախորդներին վճարելիք դրամը գնելու համար: Եթե այդ տեսակետը համապատասխանում է իրականությանը, ապա դրամի արժեւորման ընթացքը շուտով կդադարի եւ այն կրկին կսկսի արժեզրկվել:
Նկատենք, որ դրամի փոխարժեքի կտրուկ տատանումները, անկախ նրանից՝ դա արժեզրկում է, թե արժեւորում, բացասական ազդեցություն է թողնում տնտեսության վրա»:
