Ինչո՞ւ են կաթոլիկները Սուրբ Ծնունդը նշում դեկտեմբերի 25-ին, իսկ հայերը՝ հունվարի 6-ին

Հունվարի 6-ին Հայ Առաքելական Եկեղեցին Նշում է Մեր Փրկիչ Տեր՝ Հիսուս Քրիստոսի Ծննդյան ու Աստվածահայտնության տոնը, որը Հիսուսի ծննդյան և մկրտության հիշատակումն է:
Մարդիկ իրար ողջունում են հետևյալ խոսքերով. - «Քրիստոս ծնաւ և յայտնեցավ, մեզ և ձեզ մեծ աւետիս»՝ ի պատասխան լսելով. - «Օրհնեալ է յայտնութիւնը Քրիստոսի»:
Ի տարբերություն Հայ Առաքելական Եկեղեցու, Կաթոլիկ եկեղեցին Քրիստոսի ծնունդը նշում է դեկտեմբերի 25-ին: Սակայն քրիստոնեության առաջին 300 տարիներին ավանդույթներն այլ էին: Մինչև 4-րդ դարը բոլոր քրիստոնյաները Սուրբ Ծնունդը նշել են հունվարի 6-ին: Սակայն քրիստոնեության ընդունումից հետո հռոմեացիները շարունակել են նշել հեթանոսական տոները: Դեկտեմբերի 25-ին մեծ շուքով նշվել է արևի պաշտամունքին նվիրված տոնը: Հեթանոսական ավանդույթները խափանելու համար 336թ. Հռոմի եկեղեցին դեկտեմբերի 25-ը պաշտոնապես հռչակեց Հիսուս Քրիստոսի ծննդյան օր: Հին հռոմեացի եպիսկոպոսների ցուցակում, որ թվագրվում է մոտ մ.թ. 336-354թթ, կարելի է հանդիպել հետևյալ խոսքերին. «25 Dec.: natus Christus in Betleem Judeae», այսինքն՝ «Քրիստոս ծնվել է Բեթլեհեմում՝ դեկտեմբերի 25-ին»:
Փաստորեն, 336թ-ի դեկտեմբերի 25-ը Սուրբ Ծննդյան առաջին արձանագրված տոնակատարությունն է: Հետագայում Ասորիքում և գրեթե ողջ արևելքում Քրիստոսի Ծննդյան տոնի օրը փոխադրվեց դեկտեմբերի 25-ին, իսկ հունվարի 6-ը մնաց որպես Տիրոջ Աստվածահայտնության և Մկրտության օր: Եկեղեցու գոյության առաջին տարիներին այնքան էլ կարևորված չէին ծննդյան տարեդարձերը, այդ թվում՝ Քրիստոսի ծնունդի օրը: Սովորաբար Հիսուսի մկրտությանն առավել մեծ տեղ էր հատկացվում, քան ծննդին: Հասկանալի է, որ ոչ ոք հստակ չի կարող իմանալ Քրիստոսի ծննդյան իրական տարեթիվը: Ժամանակի ընթացքում բազմաթիվ հեթանոսական ավանդույթներ կապվում են Սուրբ Ծննդյան տոնի հետ:
Ռուս Ուղղափառ եկեղեցին, ինչպես նաև բոլոր ուղղափառ եկեղեցիները, Սբ Ծնունդը ևս նշում են դեկտեմբերի 25-ին կաթոլիկ եկեղեցու հետ միասին: Իսկ հունվարի 7-ին այդ եկեղեցիներում նշվում է Աստվածհայտնության տոնը և Սուրբ Մկրտությունը։
