Բոլորովին վերջերս գիտնականները զարմանահրաշ բացահայտում են կատարել, որի համաձայն` բոլոր կապուտաչյա մարդիկ սերում են մեկ նախամարդուց, ով բնակվել է Եվրոպայի տարածքում 6000-10 000 տարի առաջ: Առաջին անգամ հենց նրա մոտ է ի հայտ եկել արտասովոր մուտացիան, որի արդյունքում աչքի ծիածանաթաղանթը կապույտ երանգ է ստացել:
