Ռուսաստանի Դաշնության արտաքին գործերի նախարարությունը հրապարակել է «2016թ-ին արտաքին քաղաքականության հիմնական արդյունքները» վերատառությամբ փաստաթուղթը, որում անդարադարձ է կատարվում ինչպես Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի խնդրին, այնպես էլ Հայաստան-Ռուսաստան երկկողմ հարաբերություններին:

«Ռուսաստանի ակտիվ քայլերի շնորհիվ Մոսկվայում տեղի ունեցած Ռուսաստանի, Հայաստանի և Ադրբեջանի զինված ուժերի գլխավոր շտաբերի պետերի  հանդիպմանը հնարավոր է եղել հասնել 2016թ-ի ապրիլին Լեռնային Ղարաբաղում բռնկված լայնամասշտաբ զինված գործողությունների դադարեցմանը: Ջանքեր են գործադրվել իրավիճակի լարվածության թուլացման և բանակցությունների շարունակման ուղղությամբ` մայիսին Վիեննայում տեղի ունեցած ԵԱՀԿ Մինսկի խմբի համանախագահ երկրների արտաքին գործերի նախարարների մասնակցությամբ տեղի ունեցած հայ-ադրբեջանական գագաթնաժողովի և Սանկտ Պետերբուրգի եռակողմ հանդիպման շրջանակներում»,- ասված է 2016թ-ի ամփոփիչ փաստաթղթում:

Փաստաթղթում անդրադարձ է կատարվում նաև ՀԱՊԿ շրջանակներում համագործակցության ընդլայնմանը, մասնավորապես, այնպիսի փաստաթղթի ընդունմանը, ինչպիսին է մինչև 2025թ-ի ՀԱՊԿ հավաքական անվտանգության ռազմավարությունը, որն ընդունվել է 2016թ-ին Երևանում, ինչպես նաև. «բարձրագույն և բարձր մակարդակում ընդունված մի շարք քաղաքական փաստաթղթեր, որոնք առնչվում են Սիրիայի, Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի հակամարտությունների կարգավորմանը և միջազգային ահաբեկչության դեմ պայքարին»:

Հայաստանի հետ երկկողմ հարաբերությունների մասով շեշտվում է, որ Ռուսաստանը ավանդաբար բարձր համագործակցության մակարդակ ունի, որն առնչվում է հարցերի լայն շրջանակի ինչպես եկկողմ, այնպես էլ բազմակողմ կազմակերպությունների և մեխանիզմների շրջանակներում:
