Լեյլա Յունուսը Ադրբեջանում «Տարվա իրավապաշտպան» է հռչակվել

Ադրբեջանում «Քաղբանտարկյալների մշտադիտարկման կենտրոնը» Խաղաղության ու ժողովրդավարության ինստիտուտի տնօրեն Լեյլա Յունուսին հռչակել է «Տարվա իրավապաշտպան»։ Նա այդ կոչմանն արժանացել է մարդու իրավունքների պաշտպանության ոլորտում բազմամյա անձնուրաց աշխատանքի, նաեւ Ադրբեջանում քաղբանտարկյալների խնդրի մասին 2016-ին միջազգային համայնքին տեղեկացնելուն ուղղված ջանքերի համար, ասվում է Կենտրոնի հաղորդագրության մեջ, հայտնում է contact.az–ը։
«Չնայած իշխանությունների ճնշումներին ու հետապնդումներին, կալանավորմանն ու կտտանքներին, առողջությունը քայքայելուն՝ Լեյլա Յունուսը չի կոտրվել ու շարունակում է աշխատել ժողովրդավարության համար այդ ամենակարեւոր ուղղությամբ»,- ասել է Turan–ին «Քաղբանտարկյալների մշտադիտարկման կենտրոն» ՀԿ-ի ղեկավարը։
Նշենք, որ 2013-ին Լեյլա Յունուսը պարգեւատրվել էր Ֆրանսիայի Պատվավոր լեգեոնի կավալերի շքանշանով մարդու իրավունքների ոլորտում պայքարի համար, նաեւ արժանացել Թեոդոր Հեքքերի անվան միջազազգային մրցանակի։
Լեյլա Յունուսը ու նրա ամուսինը՝ քաղաքագետ Արիֆ Յունուսը կալանավորվել էին 2014-ի ամռանն ու դատապարտվել համապատասխանաբար 8․5 ու 7 տարվա ազատազրկման։ Հետագայում, 2015-ի դեկտեմբերին, նրանց իրական ժամկետները փոխարինվել են պայմանական պատժամիջոցով։ 2016-ի ապրիլին նրանք բուժման համար արտասահման են մեկնել։
Դեկտեմբերի 27-ին Ադրբեջանի գերագույն դատարանը մասամբ բավարարել է նրանց բողոքարկումն ու գործը վերադարձրել Բաքվի վերաքննիչ դատարան։
«Քաղբանտարկյալների մշտադիտարկման կենտրոնը» ստեղծվել է 2014-ի հոկտեմբերին մի խումբ նախկին քաղբանտարկյալների կողմից։
