Արքայախնձորը հայտնի է որպես արևադարձային դիետիկ միրգ: Այն օգտագործում են թարմ վիճակում, դրանից խատրաստում են պահածոներ և հյութ, ինչպես նաև օգտագործում են հրուշակեղենի պատրաստման ժամանակ:
