Հայ Առաքելական եկեղեցին այսօր` հունվարի 6-ին նշում է Սուրբ ծնունդը` Աստվածհայտնության տոնը (Կաթոլիկ եկեղեցին այդ տոնը նշում է դեկտեմբերի 25-ին), քրիստոնեական մեծագույն տոնը: Սրան նախորդում է պահքը, որից հավատացյալ ժողովուրդը դուրս է գալիս հունվարի 5-ի երեկոյան, երբ եկեղեցում մատուցվում է Սուրբ ծննդյան Ճրագալույցի Ս. Պատարագ:
Այդ օրը երեկոյան մարդիկ եկեղեցում վառված ճրագներն իրենց հետ տուն են տանում: Այն խորհրդանշում է աստվածային լույսն, եկեղեցու օրհնությունը: Ճրագալույցը խորհրդանշում է բեթղեհեմյան աստղի լույսը, որն առաջնորդեց մոգերին դեպի Հիսուս Մանուկ:
Ապա տրվում է Սուրբ ծննդյան ավետիսը, որից հետո մարդիկ միմյանց ողջունում են միմյանց «Քրիստոս ծնվեց և հայտնվեց, մեզ, ձեզ Սուրբ Ավետիս» խոսքերով:
Tert.am-ի հետ զրույցում Արարատյան Հայրապետական թեմի Դավիթաշենի Սրբոց նահատակաց եկեղեցու հոգևոր հովիվ Տեր Խորեն քահանա Մարուքյանն անդրադառնում է Սուրբ Ծնունդի խորհրդին, յուրաքանչյուր քրիստոնյայի համար Սուրբ Ծնունդի նշանակությանը. «Արդեն Ավետարանի մեջ կարդում ենք, տեսնում ենք, որ Աստված այնքան սիրեց աշխարհը, որ իր միածին որդուն տվեց, որպեսզի ով հավատա, հավիտենական կյանք ունենա: Եվ Որդին չեկավ մարդկանց դատելու, այլ հավիտենական կյանք շնորհելու: Մեզ համար ծնվեց մի Փրկիչ, որն Օծյալ տերն է, որը եկավ՝ մարդուն ազատելու մեղքի և մահվան իշխանությունից,նորից նրան վերահաստատելու հավիտենական կյանքի մեջ»:
Ի՞նչ է անում հայ եկեղեցին, որ տարեմուտի տոները մեր ժողովրդի մեջ չլինեն «ուտելու տոն», այլ ընկալվեն իբրև Փրկչի ծնունդի, Աստծուն դառնալու և կարիքավորին հիշելու օրեր:
Որքանո՞վ է մեր քրիստոնյա ժողովուրդը հետևում Սուրբ ծննդի խորհրդին և ի՞նչ է նշանակում հոգու փրկություն:
Ի՞նչն է ամենաշատը գնահատում մարդու մեջ Աստված՝ հատկապես այս օրերին, որոնք կարող են լինել աստվածահաճո գործերը:
