Գերմանիան շարունակում է գործընկերաբար կանգնած լինել Հայաստանի կողքին: Գերմանիայի Դաշնային Հանրապետության Նախագահ Յոահիմ Գաուկը ՀՀ Անկախության տոնի առթիվ Նախագահ Սերժ Սարգսյանին հղված շնորհավորական ուղերձում նշել է, որ Գերմանիան կշարունակի ԼՂ հակամարտության խաղաղ լուծման և հայ-թուրքական փոխըմբռնման հասնելու երկխոսությանը սատարելու իր ջանքերը:
«Ձեր երկրի համար նշանակալի ոգեկոչման 201 5 թվականին, Գերմանիան շարունակում է գործընկերաբար կանգնած լինել Հայաստանի կողքին: Մեր երկու երկրների միջև սերտ և փոխվստահելի հարաբերությունները Հայաստանի անկախության վերանվաճումից ի վեր արագ և բազմակողմանի զարգացում են ապրել: Դրա լավագույն օրինակը երկկողմ սերտ շփումներն են մշակույթի և գիտության ոլորտներում: Արտաքին քաղաքական ոլորտում Գերմանիան սատարում է Հայաստանի պատրաստակամությունը՝ Արևելյան գործընկերության շրջանակում շարունակելու քաղաքական և տնտեսական մերձեցումը Եվրամիությանը: Դրանով Ձեր երկիրը ցույց է տալիս, որ Եվրամիության, ինչպես նաև Ռուսաստանի Դաշնության ու եվրասիական գործընկերների հետ հարաբերությունների միաժամանակյա սերտացումը հնարավոր է: Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի հակամարտության շուտափույթ խաղաղ լուծումը, ինչպես նաև հայ-թուրքական փոխըմբռնումն իմ սրտի ցանկությունն են: Գերմանիան երկու հարցերում էլ կշարունակի երկխոսությանը սատարելու իր ջանքերը»,- նշել է Գաուկը:
