Հարավային Կորեայի նախագահ Պակ Կըն Հեն, որին իմպիչմենտ Էր հայտարարվել անցյալ տարվա վերջին, պլանավորում Է հանդես գալ ազգին հղված եւս մեկ ուղերձով, որում մտադիր Է հերքել կոռուպցիայի հետ կապված բոլոր մեղադրանքները: Այդ մասին, ինչպես տեղեկացնում Է «Արմենպրես»-ը, հայտնել Է «Ռյոնհապ» գործակալությունը՝ վկայակոչելով դիվանագիտական շրջանների աղբյուրների: 
Թե հատկապես երբ եւ ինչպես կարող Է տարածվել նոր հայտարարությունը, չի ճշտվում: 
Պակ Կըն Հեի նախագահական լիազորությունները ժամանակավորապես կասեցվել են այն բանից հետո, երբ դեկտեմբերի 9-ին խորհրդարանը քվեարկեց նրա պաշտոնազրկման օգտին: Պետության ղեկավարի պաշտոնակատար դարձավ Հվան Գյո Անը: Իշխանությունից նախագահի հեռացման գործընթացը վերջնականապես կվարտվի Սահմանադրական դատարանի կողմից քվեարկության արդյունքների հաստատումից հետո: 
Պակ Կըն Հեին մեղադրում են իր մերձավոր ընկերուհուն՝ Չխվե Սուն Սիլին հովանավորելու մեջ, որը հայտնվել Է աղմկալի կոռուպցիոն սկանդալի կենտրոնում: Նոյեմբերի 20-ին Կորեայի Հանրապետության դատախազությունը հրապարակել Է Չխվե Սուն Սիլի, ինչպես նաեւ նախագահական վարչակազմի երկու նախկին աշխատակիցների գործով հետաքննության միջանկյալ արդյունքները, նրանց մեղադրանքներ են առաջադրվել կոռուպցիայի, կաշառաշորթության եւ ծառայողական լիազորությունների չարաշահման համար: Մասնավորապես, խոսքը վերաբերում Է մի շարք ընկերությունների վրա իբր գործադրված ճնշմանը՝ նրանց կողմից այն հիմնադրամներին տասնյակ միլիոնավոր դոլարների փոխանցման նպատակով, որոնք վերահսկվում Էին Չխվե Սուն Սիլի կողմից: Թեեւ նման ճնշման փաստը մինչ այժմ ապացուցված չԷ, քննիչները ենթադրում են, որ Պակ Կըն Հեն առնվազն տեղյակ Է եղել տեղի ունեցածին, հաղորդել Է ՌԻԱ Նովոստին:
