ԱՄՆ-ի նորընտիր նախագահ Դոնալդ Թրամփի պաշտոնակալության մասնակիցների թիվն այդ արարողության օրվա մոտենալու համեմատ զգալիորեն կրճատվում Է: Ինչպես հայտնել Է Reuters գործակալությունը, միայն վերջին մեկ օրվա ընթացքում Կոնգրեսի երկու պալատների 11 անդամներ հայտարարել են պետության 45-րդ ղեկավարի երդմանը ներկա լինելուց հրաժարվելու մասին: Բրոդվեյի աստղ երգչուհի Ջենիֆեր Հոլիդեյը չեղյալ Է հայտարարել հունվարի 20-ին Վաշինգտոնում կայանալիք հանդիսություններում մյուս կատարողների հետ ելույթ ունենալու որոշումը, տեղեկացնու մ Է «Արմենպրես»-ը:
Ամենասկանդալայինն Է դարձել այն բոյկոտը, որը Թրամփին հայտարարել Է Ջորջիայի նահանգից Կոնգրեսի Ներկայացուցիչների պալատի անդամ Ջոն Լյուիսը, որը համարվում Է հանուն թխամորթ բնակչության իրավունքների ԱՄՆ-ում ամենաականավոր մարտիկներից մեկը: NBC հեռուստաընկերության եթերում նա հայտարարել Է, որ 1986 թվականին կոնգրեսական ընտրվելու պահից ի վեր առաջին անգամ պատրաստվում Է բացակայել երկրի հերթական նախագահի պաշտոնակալությունից: Դեմոկրատական կուսակցությունից օրենսդիրն իր որոշումը պատճառաբանել Է այն հանգամանքով, որ Թրամփին չի համարում պետության &l aquo;օրինականորեն ընտրված» ղեկավար:
Հոլիդեյը Վաշինգտոնում կայանալիք արարողությանը ելույթ ունենալուց՝ իր հարաժարվելը բացատրել Է այն բանով, որ ինքը բնավ չի պլանավորել բարոյապես աջակցել միլիարդատիրոջը:
Մինչդեռ հանդիսության 70-ամյա մեղավորը չի կորցնում լավատեսությունը: «Պաշտոնակալության օրն Էլ ավելի ընդգրկուն կլինի, քան սպասվում Էր: Հունվարի 20. Վաշինգտոն: Ուրախացե՛ք»,- գրել նա Twitter-ում:
Այս հանգստյան օրերին, որոնց հաջորդում Է հունվարի 16-ին նշվող՝ Մարտին Լյութեր Քինգի օրը, երկրի տասնյակ քաղաքներում տեղի են ունեցել բողոքի զանգվածային ցույցեր Թրամփի քաղաքականության դեմ, ամենից առաջ անօրինական միգրացիայի նկատմամբ հսկողության խստացման բնագավառում: Հունվարի 14-ին ցույցեր եւ երթեր են տեղի ունեցել Լոս Անջելեսում եւ Սան Խոսեում (Կալիֆոռնիայի նահանգ), Չիկագոյում (Իլինոյսի նահանգ), Վաշինգտոնում եւ այլ քաղաքներում:
Հունվարի 20-ի նախաշեմին Թրամփի դեմ բողոքող ակտիվիստներին կմիանան Նյու Յորքի քաղաքագլուխ Բիլ դե Բլազիոն, ականավոր քարոզիչ Ալֆրեդ Շարփթոնը, ռեժիսոր Մայքլ Մուրը, դերասան Մարկ Ռուֆալոն, հաղորդել Է ՏԱՍՍ-ը:
