 Մինչ մեդիաբնագավառի փորձագետները բանավիճում են լրագրողի մասնագիտության ապագայի շուրջ, իսկ տասնյակ հազարավոր ուսանողներ ամբողջ աշխարհում ուսանում են պրոֆիլային ֆակուլտետներում, Չինաստանում մշակված Սյաո Նյան անունով ռոբոտ-թղթակիցը տեղական օրաթերթում հրապարակել Է իր դեբյուտային հոդվածը, տեղեկացնում Է «Արմենպրես»-ը:
Ինչպես հայտնել Է China News գործակալությունը, Սյաո Նյանի՝ 300 հիերոգլիֆներից բաղկացած հոդվածը լույս Է տեսել Southern Metropolis Daily թերթում, որը թողարկվում Է Գուանչժոու քաղաքում: Ռոբոտ-լրագրողն իր նյութը նվիրել Է չինական մոտեցող Ամանորին՝ Չունցզեին, նախորդող ուղեւորությունների բումին: 
Հաղորդվում Է, որ ռոբոտից մեկ վայրկյան Է պահանջվել նյութն ավարտելու համար: Պեկինի համալսարանի պրոֆեսոր Վան Սյաոցզյունի խոսքով, որն զբաղվում Է մեդիա-ռոբոտի մշակմամբ, Սյաո Նյանը կարող Է գրել ինչպես կարճ, այնպես Էլ բավականին երկարաշունչ տեքստեր:  
«Հաստիքային թղթակիցների համեմատությամբ, Սյաոն  տվյալները վերլուծելու եւ տեքստերն ավելի արագ գրելու զգալիորեն ավելի մեծ ունակությամբ Է օժտված»,-նշում Է պրոֆեսորը:
Սակայն, ինչպես հավելել Է Վան Սյաոցզյունը, դա չի նշանակում, որ խելացի ռոբոտները մոտ ժամանակներս կկարողանան լիովին փոխարինել լրագրողներին: Ռոբոտները դեռեւս չեն կարողանում հարցազրույց անցկացնել դեմ առ դեմ ձեւաչափով եւ լրացուցիչ հարցեր տալ: Այնուամենայնիվ, պրոֆեսորը լավատեսորեն Է տրամադրված  նոր տեխնոլոգիաների ապագայի հարցում, հաղորդել Է ՌԻԱ Նովոստին:
